Calc Ac for co2 burner

I have tried searching on here to no avail. How much btu would I calculate into a 12 light flip flop flower with a 5 light veg. it is bare bulb vert. With 17 lights plus one light for the dehuey thats 90k btu. So thats 7.5 tons. I live in Colorado so I doubt I will need/run the duey much.

greenair had some charts...I have had great luck with cap products ..only one bad product out of many orders..but my experience was rare I gather...you go by growroom dimensions not number of lights.. I got 2 greenair units...EDIT nevermind I think I misread post

what ST sez, the green air site has a calc. for a gas gen.
I was going to run with their calculations but didn't like the 6-7minutes *on time*
because of heat issues.

I went with a tankless HW/heater, same as a water cooled Co2 gen
the on time is 30sec average for a 14 x 20 x 8-1/2ftft room running 6000w
if you can use the water cooler gen you can save a few 200-300 dollars

Had an old head bro almost die from a C.A.P. CO2 controller that had several big ass tanks daisy chained together in his basement big plant grow....

20x20 area with spaghetti tubing draped all amongst the tops of 6'ers....

Controller stuck open when lights on timer came on and dumped all the gas outta all the tanks at once , and when he went in to work the plants right as the bare bulbs came on , he passed the fuck out and went nappy on the floor waiting to die where all the gas ends up from being heavier than air...but.....by the grace of the good lord....

His `ol lady just happened to be goin after clothes outta dryer and saw him passed out with the grow area door wide open , then drug his ass out of the room , opened up garage doors and windows and saved their ass.....long story short....

Do NOT trust C.A.P. equipment unless yas got good insurance and don`t live at the grow location....Heard too many nightmare stories over the yrs...

ANYONE that`s had good luck with their controlling equipment has just been lucky.....anyways...

Glad yas chimed in guys....I`m an air exchange twice per min kinda grower with absolutely no experience with sealed rooms and CO2 supplements , but lvtokerr pm`ed bout some room input....so...

Ya`ll handle it....DHF....:ying:....

yeah man DHF....
I heard that story before i built my sealed room last year and It's always stuck with me,
I ALWAYS check my sniffer at lites on to see what going on

I run @900ppm, when i'm in there for a while it can hit 1500 easy
sometime 1700+.
few times i started feeling tired, worn out, bit of a headache,
just ready to call it a day after 3hrs in the room.
take a break for a bite to eat.
30min in fresh air and I felt like a new man.
when it starts to hit around 1700 I feel it, over 1500ppms and the door is opened and the fan comes on pumping in fresh air

you won't see it, smell it or hear it but be aware of the signs of Co2 poisoning

I was reading about how most lighting controllers aren't UL listed...that is definitely a big reason anyone going over 400w HID should BUILD a lighting controller or pay an electrician to make you one. If the knowledge isnt there, it can be acquired.

2nd that on C.A.P. being garbage. I talked to a guy who owns a hydro shop and he was saying how the C.A.P. rep quit cus of poor quality products. Can't beat the price though...

that's pretty disturbing many of these lite controllers aren't passing a UL standards,
I built mine for for cheap considering what i was looking to pay.
well under $200, i have 6-1000w lamps,
each box can run up to 4000W with a combined total of 12,000w

so I got the autopilot 8 burner and digi controller. Local Ac guy was over giving a quote. he thinks the 8 burner will need 1-2 tons since its rated for 13-22k btu. He gave me a quote of 22k for two 4 ton units. almost shit a brick on that quote. thats pulling permits instal warranty and paying sparky etc plus top of the line equipment. the acs will be 2 stage and since there is 2 units i can run 2 4 6 or 8 tons depending on heat load. this is also 20 seer equipment and should be quieter. dont want to piss off neighbors. this also includes the upgrades where the system can be ran when its freezing outside. also includes 3k$ uv sterilizers so that i shouldnt get pm outbreaks etc. still dont know if i can mentally drop that much cash on a rental... although i do know ill itll be worth it. its pretty cool shit saving seizure babies that big pharma failed.

definatley dont think ill buy flip boxes when itll be safer to have a sparky wire me up some legit boxes. it was bs running the room on 8 lights waiting for 2 plus weeks for the new box to be built.
