cabinet and vent question

this cab is 25 cubic ft.. as of now i have one 55 cfm computer fan up top sucking hot air out and also one (55 cfm) at the bottom bringing air in.
the cab still gets hot... so does anyone think that moving both fans up top would help with the heat? and if i were to do that.. that would leave a 3 inch hold at the bottom where the intake fan was.. so i would just and 2 more 3 inch holes (3 total) for passive intake.. that would give me sucking 110 cfms sucking hot air out. i need to suck out 3 times the cfms... right?

moving both fans up top would help but what size are they? 120mm? for intake, you need twice the intake area as exhaust area. also, that fan needs to be at the very top of the cab. you are letting heat get trapped up top. i would say move the both fans up top and get another fan for intake. you will also need one for circulation. hope this helps.

they are 120v computer fans that are rated at 55 cfm... if i moved both to the top.. how big would i need to make that passive intake?

would i be better of with a cheap 6 inch in-line duct fan

what size light is that ???
if its 400w or larger is the hood aircooled ???

personally a aircooled hood or cooltube is the best optain for the cab heres a link that will help ya cool upto 600w hps n/p http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=29341 i personally use this with my 400w aircooled hood

remember heat rises PC exhaust fans wont be much help where thier at now with a aircooled hood or cool tube the heat from the bulb is removed mostly but ambient heat will still build up during lights on. i use a can95 blower fan on a 4inch carbon scrubber to exhaust my heat and take care of my smell in the cab's exhaust. i vent my air cooled hood by pulling fresh air from outside cab through hood and exhausted into attick. i exhaust all heat created out of room where cab is
heres a link for a dyi cooltube http://icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=505969 have company have to go look into the 400w club for ideas to set up your cab properly
