Cabinet Advice !! Thank you!!

I've been researching hard for a small cabinet that will utilize a 150 HPS with a stealth edge. I have found 2 links in particular that interest me but I am way overdue for some advice.

http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=37665-77268-S02DR-1&detail=&lpage=none

This first link is very intriguing because of price, wood, and white everywhere.

The second link is a little shaky and thats why I need some other possible suggestions before I make this final critical decision before I start. This is my first time so I hope it will be tall enough and I have enough room all around. It is only for just 1 person but if I'm doing it then I want to make it be worth it. Thank you for your advice.

They're so close in size, I'd figure where they go. The Lowes would look more at home inside, while the HD would look better in the garage. No one notices my freezer in the garage. In the living room, people would ask questions.

Yea well it'd be in a closet so more then likely the Lowes but im concerned about the ventilation.

Any Ideas? ? Thanks.

I have a cab in a closet & ran my ventilation up into the attic. Using a Panasonic Whisper fan & home made carbon filter my set up is dead nuts quiet & 100% stealth.:joint:

If the HD will fit in your closet, consider it. The Lowes cab isn't very deep, will limit yield more than the HD. I have a laminate/mdf cab and it probably heats up a little more than the plastic one. When you say shaky, are we talking not very sturdy? Gorilla glue in the joints of the plastic cab will shore it up if needed, that is unless you'd want to disassemble it down the road.

1G12 has it down venting to the attic. Will you be able to do this or do you have a different idea for venting?

Easiest vent solution is a 4" hole saw. Punch one hole at the top for your fan and two at the bottom for intake.

the HD will fit but I'm told its hard to keep light proof. It would be hard to cut into the plastic though. "Shaky" was a bad adjective to use. I just meant there were stipulations like light proof, ventilation, etc. I've seen the model at HD and it seems sturdy enough. Another concern of the HD cab is how do you cut nice circles in plastic?? Thats another tool I'll need I assume? I just wish I could find something like the Lowes cab but more the dimensions of the HD.

I love the white, thin wood, and other things but in the end the size isn't right (on the Lowes.)

No venting into the attic, not a option at all. I'm thinking carbon filter and exactly what FreezerBoy said because it seems easy and realistically right. The first step is finding this damn cab though.

Thanks for your help man.

Before you go buying cabs at the store....

Before you go buying cabs at the store....

try to find something cheaper on your area Craig's List. Bought my cab for 20 bux and been tweaking it as I comb the threads. I was gonna make the home depot move myself until I saw this and its in my closet. and wood is easier to drill!
