Cabbage looper

So ive started using bt and spinosad spray due to some early signs of cabbage looper. Thankfully I noticed the single eggs under a few leaves and removed them before they could hatch. I'm assuming the moths will still try and lay eggs but once they hatch the insecticide will kill them quickly. Or does anyone notice that the moths wont even bother to lay eggs if using as a preventative.
