Alright... my original cab plans have been rewritten too many times and i need to finalize my setup. I was hoping to use the 400w light that i already have to save money on buying a new lamp, but i've decided that this will probably be too much for my 47"w x 20"d x 56"h cab and 130cfm squirrel cage fan to ventilate. What is the best alternative? I was considering a 250w HPS... i can't afford an air-cooled hood... another alternative im considering is a 200w flowering spectrum CFL with perhaps some supplemental T5 bulbs. I can get the 200w CFL for $200 CAD with the T5's for like... $40 each... so its gonna be pricey. I think the HPS will be cheaper and probably provide better light spectrum and lumens but will obviously produce much more heat. Would i be better off getting the CFL's and fluoro's instead? Or should i go with the 250w HPS? Keep in mind my 130cfm fan needs to pull air through a carbon filter as well as ventilate this chamber. Thanks for the input everyone...
