Cab ventilation design advice needed!!

Alright... my original cab plans have been rewritten too many times and i need to finalize my setup. I was hoping to use the 400w light that i already have to save money on buying a new lamp, but i've decided that this will probably be too much for my 47"w x 20"d x 56"h cab and 130cfm squirrel cage fan to ventilate. What is the best alternative? I was considering a 250w HPS... i can't afford an air-cooled hood... another alternative im considering is a 200w flowering spectrum CFL with perhaps some supplemental T5 bulbs. I can get the 200w CFL for $200 CAD with the T5's for like... $40 each... so its gonna be pricey. I think the HPS will be cheaper and probably provide better light spectrum and lumens but will obviously produce much more heat. Would i be better off getting the CFL's and fluoro's instead? Or should i go with the 250w HPS? Keep in mind my 130cfm fan needs to pull air through a carbon filter as well as ventilate this chamber. Thanks for the input everyone...

You might think about getting a more powerful inline fan and pulling your ventilation through your light's hood. That way I think you could get away with still using your 400W'er. Just one suggestion....you'll probably get some others here.

I'm using a 250w in a space very similar to yours.

I don't have a sqiurrel cage fan, I have this POS i got off ebay which doesn't run as well as I expected.

I imagine if I had a 130cfm fan my temps wouldn't run hot.

How do I cool my 100 degree room to 85-90??? Would a Eco-Plus 4" Fan work?

Bipedalhominid: I dont have a hood for my 400w light... and i have no money to buy one.. i've already bought the squirrel cage fan and can't get anything bigger than that due to noise concerns.

Anyone have any advice for me? Thanks

if your in the states or canadia you could buy a hurricane lamp and jerry rig a DIY cooltube, or you could use a pyrex bakearound tube. heres an example

this is darrinjeffersons grow his cab is i think 20" taller then yours but it would suck to have to buy a new lamp.
