Ca def or pH trouble???

Hey guys, I was hoping to get some opinions from the ganja growin' heads around here. I have a diary, but it doesn't get much traffic and I recently had some spotting developing on some of my middle leaves.

I'm growing New purple power X hashberry and they around probably about 5 weeks old, and just got set on 12/12. I'm using happy frog organic soil along with the earth juice grow and bloom. It kinda looks like the spotting isn't getting worse or spreading, but it can't hurt to get some expert advice. Even if it is resolved, I would like to know what exactly is wrong with her...

So if anyone has the time to check it out, the thread is right HERE

Thanks for the help fellows.

Cheers.

First you need to get the pH..... do not use any ph up or down with earthjuice; ;et it sit out for 24 hours before using it and before adding anything too it; because the value changes overnight.

THat does not look like a calcium issue too me; the spots are far too big to be one..... looks more like water droplets....... do you mist your plants by any chance?

I also think you need to stop using the pH adjusters and let the earthjuice sit out before using it.

Did you just start using those pH adjusters when this problem happend? Did this happen before or after?

DO you mean you are using FF Happy frog soil? It's very important to know your run off and I am sure it's going to be a bit off with those adjusters you are using and not letting earthjuice sit out a bit before using it.

How often are you feeding them and how much with how much water?

Ah, didn't know it had to sit out overnight. I will have to start doing that.

Nope, I don't mist.

I've used the pH adjusters for my past grow, but this is my first time using any time of organic fert. I've always toyed with the miracle grow synthetic ferts from your generic hardware superstore.

Ya it's FF happy frog. (Haha just looked back and saw I typed happy farm :joint: ) I will check the run-off with the next watering which will be tomorrow when the lights come on. I'll go ahead and let the solution sit out overnight and itll probably be out for near 18 hours if I go and do it now. Normally I just feel the soil and when its bone dry on the top 2-3 inches and water till some run-off comes out the bottom.

Hopefully I'll be back with some more news for you.

Thanks a lot for the tips.

Cheers.

So I let my water sit out all night with the nutes in it, and the pH went from 4.0 to around 4.7. I couldn't water with just that today, so I added some more of my pH up :spank:

I got the water to 6.24 with nutes and went ahead and watered the two sexy ladies. Run-off came off at 6.82 for the plant with the spotting and 6.99 for the plant with no spotting. I normally water with a pH of around 5.6, so I need to find a happy medium to get my soil pH back around 6.5. I will update if the girl happens to get any better or any worse. All her new growth looks luscious for now.

Cheers.

Ok first off, watering with acideic nutes as long as there is a ph BALANCE in your soil it's not going to keep your soil Ph acidic; changing the ph of the water is not going to keep your soil ph at that type; BUT your ph adjuster you are using is changing things; stop using it and just water your plants with it; you really want to know your real ph, get some of your soil mixture and water with distilled water or RO water to get the value of what your soil pH is; as long as you are not water logging your soil your mixture pH will not stay at that acidic pH level......... it's what is in the soil mixture that makes the final count of pH value.

so first things first; top using the pH adjuster in your nutrients
