C99'S- 3 different types?

G

Heres a few shots. Three seeds, all three supposed to be C99... one streched to the celling, the other two look very similar in over all shape and size...but the bud structure is deffinatly different. The one that I had to bend to fit has the same bud structure as one of the other two, but it's twice as big, the leaves are gigantic Are there 3 different types of C99? I did "Tipp" a couple of the buds to get them to bulk out, as per a thread from MISTER POSTMAN, ck it. peace

C99 is a pretty stable strain, never since a taller pheno, as far as I know, there is a pineapple flavoured pheno and a less fruity, more piney pheno, but always thought apart from flavour they were pretty much the same.

Thanks BH, most likely one of the three is not a C99 then...? I've only matched the structure of one of the three to a 3.75 ft. cola bud I saw on a thread. The other two I haven't seen a match on structure yet, those were the ones I thought were for sure C99? we'll see peace

So Joeshmoe, would you tip whole your plant next time? I'm interested in this technique as well and have plants @ 3 weeks flowering. That's the perfect time to perform the tipping, right?

Nice pics.

I'm sure they are all c-99's....it's just a shitty job by the breeder. The strain should of been crossed until the strain becomes stable. When you cross two plants that are not exactly the same...the offspring will take on different charcteristics. Each seed not neccassarily taking on the same traits. The breeder should continue to cross until the strain has the same traits. Preferrably, the most desirable traits.

Cheers,
SH

Dre86, Iwould only tip 1/2 at most to start. It's a technique, so it has to be learned. Practice w/ a few to test the results. Yes, three weeks is the right time I believe. Did you see a thread in flowering pics PPP?? posted by Mister Postman, peace. breeder unknown. Dre86, one question... Do you still flush W/all organic??? Nice pics by the way. and "C" stands for Cindy 99??
BlueBerry outside flushing. :joint:

That BlueBerry looks :yummy:
Yep I saw that thread..The buds looked very big. I might try it on a couple of budsites and see what it gives..
Well I grow 100% organically so nope, no flush. I feed them till the last day. C = Cindy/Cinderella yeah..Oh & thx for the compliment..

There are lots of reasons why a plant may stretch, perhaps that one taller plant has got taller for a reason other than genetics. I've seen taller plants among very stable lines a few times.

Still got a few F2s of original Grimm C99 in my stash, must get round to making a load of F3s some day.

I jst started flowering 4 female seeds c-99 and 2 are very tall while 2 have stayed pretty short, definately different pheno's.Their x-line cindy is not as stable as the rest of their female seeds, they're very reliable as far as female seeds go

damn those plants look alot more sativaish than the usual cindy pics i see on here, no wonder they are stretching thru the roof. maybe this mystery breeder wanted them that way..?

2.5 years ago my C99 F2's had 3 phenos also. Stable or not thats what I got. Hows the smell comparatively between the 3?

Planted 3 xline C99 beans 5 weeks ago, one didn't germ, the two left are different phenos: one at least 50% taller but with the same number of nodes. The shorter one's side branches are more developed - indistinguishable from the two GF's that are the same age.

If I wait for preflowers before switching to 12/12, how much stretch can I expect? Have a 6.5 ft (200 cm) grow space ... don't want it to get more than 4.5 feet (140 cm) - should I LST to expect it to stay within bounds?

DAMM I thought for sure She was a Kali! he he he, few hrs later, she smelt the same. Now, the smaller 2, smell the same and look the same, very sweet fruity strong smell. The Giant one, smells diff , bud structure looks a bit diff, she smells not as strong an kinda bitter, or maybe citrus. SLIPS, HELP ME W/ MY NEW CAMERA. peace enjoy

I grow C99 as well, and the sativa doms WILL stretch. If you're really worried about the final height, LST her..
