C99/Mazar Grow

Hello there,

im gonna start my first grow with these strains and was just wondering what do you guys think about my plans.

My plan is to grow 9 plants of C99 and Mazar(about 50:50) from seed at the same time in scrog net and maybe do monster cropping to start a next after this grow is finished. I am gonna use soil with BioBizz fertilizers and nutrients (RootJuice/Grow/Bloom/TopMax/Alc-A-Mix).

I was thinking about maybe 4 or 5 weeks of veg before going into flowering. You have any experience in growing these strains? Any problems I might encounter?
Should I follow my plan or maybe change it a little bit? One strain at a time?
What would you do?

My grow space is 100cmx100cmx200cm with 400W HPS with Cooltube and carbon filter with 350m^3/h LTI fan. http://www.head-nature.com/04354

Sounds like a good start man :good: I haven't grown out either of those strains, but if the C99 is Dutchgrown I would suggest posting a thread in her forum, great people as well as very solid advice. Good luck bro!

You have experience? You've completed a grow? Then sure...sounds great. Otherwise, save your money until you KNOW you can grow a plant from seed successfully.

Just my opinion after reading thousands of "help me my seedlings are a month old and only have 2 leaves".

One can be successful on their first grow provided homework is done. I am a total newb who spent a @#$!ton of money on my set up. I also spent months on the net, mainly this site, and read the books suggested. I learned an enormous amount during my first grow and made many mistakes, but all in all I grew some very decent smoke! Just don't fall for the mistake of rushing into anything. Good luck man! :joint: :ying:

Yup, this is my first grow. Well, the monster cropping part is prolly just a best way scenario - just threw it out there. Anyway, im gonna clone few plants which will seem best for my newbie eyes =)

I have been researching about 18months these things so I am quite confident that I have pretty solid knowledge about growing a plant from seed to a finished sensimilla.

I am only little conserned about growing these two strains at the same time. C99s will most likely grow more taller than Mazars so that's why I plan to scrog them.

Anyway, back to the question which was what do you think about my op overall. Meaning would you try scrogging these strains in a soil or what would you do if you had seeds for both of these strains? Focus on them one at the time and find out what they are like and then grow both at the same time or just go for it?

My goal is to get decent yield with moderately easy strains and also would have liked to have two different strains which effect differently. And of course improve my knowledge and skills when it comes to growing. :)

You will learn much going through your first round. I ran 4 different strains the first time around only due to the "pick n mix" mistake when ordering from the seed bank. I would pick one strain and just grow it out and pick one style of "advanced" growing technique if you want. I no where yeilded what I could have my first round, I doubt many do. But learning from the mistakes I made the first round I can tottaly see a difference in my ladies and I'm sure the yeild will follow suit.. C99 would be my choice, I want some DGS genetics so bad!

And a side note, when you mix strains I found out they don't all like the same feedings which is a real pain in the ass, overdosed my ladies, and a huge waste of nutes.

Hello !

So I ended up growing only C99 and germinated 14 seeds and all of them sprouted and grew pretty healthy (at least to my eyes).

At the moment im 10 days into flowering and male plants have been removed and I am down to 7 plants. I have watered them around twice a week and am using BioBizz fertilizers as I stated before and have been using the biobizz fert chart for dosages.

Temperature is around 25C and Humidity between 50-55%. Do you think I should lower it a bit? If yes, how?

How am I doing?

By the way my male plants are now drying and plan was to dry them for about a week and then turn em into some nice cannabutter and ask if my lovely girlfriend could bake me something nice :)

You think curing those male plants a bit after drying will improve the quality of the butter or just go for it as soon as they are properly dried?

Update

Update

Hello!

Everything is looking fine and plants keep growing. Most of them has one or two yellowed deadish/dying fan leaves at the bottom of the plant but I guess thats normal.
Quite a few of those fan leaves have already dropped or I have gently just snapped them off of the plants.

Pistils are forming pretty much all over the plants in smaller (7l/2gallon) pots.
Two of the plants which are in 10l or 3g pots so far have pistils mostly only at the top of the main stem, instead they have been growing much more rapidly and I have had to tie em a bit :)

I'll upload few pictures I just snapped.

..and as usual, all input is very much appreciated :thank you:

Hi all. Its day 17 in flowering and ladies are slowly but surely taking over my place! My babies are all growing like babies :)

I have few questions though about some issues 'cause I really have no idea whats going in there. I will upload you a pic of the problem and quick brief of whats going on.

1)

What's up with this leaf? Really hard to get a decent picture of it but the leaf is curled down a bit from the base of the leaf and has got some brown color.
Pretty much looks like it has been burned a bit or something. Is this just a nute burn? Other leaves of this plant seems to be fine so that made me wonder what's up.

2)

And here is another dilemma. Looks like something has been eating the plant and it hasn't been me. And that is just unacceptable! They are all mine :) I saw few fruit flies(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drosophila_melanogaster) in the kitchen another day. Can they cause this? Or is it just some kind of defiencency?

Thanks for your help already! :thank you:

On a side note, I made cannabutter from male plants and had some cookies.

Let me tell you, my friends were blasted after they ate 2 of those cookies. Took around 45-60min after eating when it started to take effect. We were 4 or 5 hours pretty much all over it.:bigeye:
One of my friends was just running all over the appartment and singing and laughing all the time.
