Hello Fellow Growers,

Normally, I only post pictures of plants handled by my wife for me, but this time, as we're dealing with a limited edition, I thought I would also share here the development of this plant as it should also have a strong medical appeal for PTSD, and it's growing very very well.

Zo, the seeds were started around the 6th of August ... ( just pointing out after 2 days )

The plants are very happy, the leaves are in mint conditions.

See you on the next episode ...

Thanks Yo Sammy :)

And you're right : I am looking for a very specific Haze effect, dating from some Haze hash sold in the NL, around 20-25 years ago.

For example, I am also growing some Super Silver Haze from Green House Seeds... I hope it will be close to the experience I had over and over again in a Maastricht coffee shop for that strain, in the late nineties ... it's just annoying that marketing makes many breeders untrustable.

At least we have ACE seeds and passionate people like you for the real genetics.

Week 3 Flo - the streeeeeeeeeetch ...

The plants are still in mint conditions.
They are fed abundantly with a small line of Canna products.

The lamp had to be raised twice to keep the upper colas around 1000 umoles ... I wonder if we'll have to bend the heads ... ;)

Flower sites are slowly appearing.

In 2 weeks, we will gradually start to cut out big leaves to optimize flower production.

End of week 3 flo ...

2 of the plants are stretching so much that we had to bend the main colas ...
... and strangely, the 2 others plants are not stretching much ... while sharing the same leaves shape ...

:wave:I’m also interested...
The one I am growing had a woody and minty aroma brushing the stems in vegetative. Already in flowering it has transformed into something darker and more meaty, something floral as well. It reminds me a lot of old kalimist.
You can tell that today I was sniffing her.

To be honest, not much smell ... a bit floral, weedy, yes ... but nothing out of the ordinary ...

Sorry guys if I'm not up to the level for your smell description ( and I exclusively take edibles .... )

I do smell variations in the odour between strains but if I have to give a description, all I feel confident to say is : it does not smell like Nutella.

Nor like french fries.
But it could smell like pandas armpits ...

Flo 4 is starting ...

Everything is going perfectly : bending didnt affect much the plants, we will probably have to bend a second time.

Plants are in mint conditions.

Mid flo 4 .... we are bending again ...

We cant wait for the stretch to stop so we start to optimize flower sites by removing leaves ...

Week 5 Flo ....

The stretching seems to have stopped and the flowers are getting bigger ... and bigger ... and resin is already all over the place ( as you can see on the pictures )

For the time being, the plants are still alive and well !! I really wonder when we will harvest ...

Thanks for making a grow diary for your C5 Haze x Kali China grow MedBelgUsr :huggy: really touching you have dedicated your indoor cabinet for this genetics. And sorry for not chime in earlier ... i somehow missed your thread! :bashhead:

They looked quite Kali China dominant during growth with the wide beautiful leaves and hashplant indica look. The taller one is obviously more Haze-sativa leaning which is a good thing if you wanted a more vigorous Haze dominant phenotype. Flowering will take a bit long for her, but looks already very promising in early flowering with such trichome size and density. Lower down a bit the nitrogen, and keep up the PK, they should focus on gain weight from now onwards.

The garden is probably getting a bit overcrowded to work in it comfy, but if you can post pics of each plant now in flowering i may recognize more traits and phenotypes.

Week 6 Flo - stretching seems to have stopped ...

But look at the health of those leaves ( forget the little yellow tips : we are overfeeding them - and they seem to like it a lot - ) : not a single yellow leaf, not a single stain : those plants eat/sleep/grow tremendously ...

Currently, I have the impression we're going for the full 13 weeks with them ...

dubi Thanks for chiming in ! and no worries to have missed this thread : you saved youself from tons of questions ... :biglaugh: ( the day it's fully legal all over the planet, I'll phone you 3 times a day for hints ... LOL )

I have chosen to put this strain in our hydro RWDC system because it wasnt mentionned that it requires lower nitrogen : everything is tuned like in a F1 car, and we only chose plants genetics that can eat a lot ( and benefit from high oxygenation/feeding/etc ).

When we need to fiddle with PCK, soil is far easier to manage ... so let's hope nittrogen is not too toxic ( I will try to slightly reduce N but I fear it will send the water ph into oscillation ... )

Jungle ...

Flo 6 - Jungle.jpeg

A closeup picture of one of the bent colas : flowers and resin all over the place ... it was done for the more Hazey genotype and obviously, nitrogen toxicity seems to be limited ...

Flo 6 - Bent tip.jpeg

So like they say : stay tuned !

Week 7 flo ...

The tips are slightly burned and the leaves slightly clawed ( we have reduced nitrogen already ) but on a global scale, the plants are really going well.

We already start to see some reflowering on the lowest branches ...

Due to public request, I will talk about the smell : it is SOUR !!! Is it normal ?

Sorry for the limited number of pictures but the colas are still developping, and not yet impressive , so we can wait ...

Hi MedBelgUsr, glad to hear you are happy with their development, i still believe they would did better with slightly less nitrogen.
Sour lemony terpenes are quite common from C5 Haze side. Would love to see more pics of all the different plants when you have the chance.

Hi Dubi,

As suggested few weeks back, we have reduced the nitrogen level and the plants seem to be happy.

You might not see on the pictures but their development is so strong that we cant take a global picture anymore : there're plants everywhere.

They are now in their 10th week of flo ... probably another 2-3 weeks to go ...

Week 12 Flo ... the first microscope check ...

As you can see, the trichomes are mainly clear ... and the plants, on their general aspects level, they seem to be willing to take a bit more time ...

PS : I realize that for many people, my growing journals seem to be stopped at harvest and they never hear about any smoke reports ...

And there's a reason for that : I am curing my harvest in vacuum jar for minimum 6 months before tasting it, and I only use edibles/tinctures ( even vaping is still a punishment for my lungs - Volcano hybrid or Arizer : all the same ) ... so smoke reports are just impossible ;)
