instructions with my Atlas 8 say to keep the sniffer out of direct HID lighting. What do they mean by direct? My sniffer is about 3'-4' away and off to the side from my 1kw light. It's definitely not shaded (though it isn't all that bright where it is at) and I have had it like this for about a month. I just now realized that I forgot to come back to this issue when I first set up.
So, will there be any problems with accuracy or function with my sniffer/controller since it's been in the light?
Is that even enough light to cause a problem?
Why is light on my C02 sniffer an issue in the first place?
I'm not sure if there is anywhere in my tent that I can put it where it isn't getting pounded directly by my HIDs (2kw DE Gavitas in AC/DE hoods). Might have to make a paper cone for it to keep light off like I do for my temp probes.
Thanks!
