C.A.P. PPM-3 type is it decent

im trying to find a good co2 meter thats easy and works good for small grow
I read some say stay away from ppm-3 but why? I only need it to control CO2 NOT TEMP OR HUMIDITY.
IS THIS OK?

which is $100 less than other selling fuzzy? is this correct?
this seems overkill for me but i just want it easy and accurate on co2 only

I've used my PPM-3 for a couple years now and its only stuck once.I unplugged it and it worked fine since.I hear a lot of people have had trouble but I havent its worked just fine on my green air cd-6 propane generator

when I got mine 3 years ago, it crapped out right a way, I got a warranty replacement and it has worked fine since.

Total piece of shit IMO, had one crap out right out of the box. Luckily my hydro store was cool and allowed me to return it for something else. The best controller I found is the Sentinel cppm1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55a9UNkMui4. I wont use any other brand again.

i have the sentinel as well and am loving it. I think i heard stories of the ppm3 locking up when placed too close to digital ballast.

Yea thats not the first time I've heard about them locking up when near digital ballasts.I use magnetic and maybe thats why I have had few problems.

I've had the same one for 6 years. Like sparkjumper said, once in a geat while it'll get stuck. Unplug it...it will reset and everythings fine. CAP makes good stuff. My room controller is 6 years old too with no problems. Had to replace my Hydrofarm CO2 regulator and bought a CAP. I'm not plugging their products...just stating fact.

yea when I first mounted my cpp3 it was within a few feet of my digi ballasts on the same wall just the other side. My ballasts are outside the room and the ppm3 was on the other side inside the room. It went crazy and never worked right. My sentinel is awesome and can be linked to other units. Its linked to my sentinel EVC 2 and it kicks off my burner when the temp gets too high. I love it. keeps my room dialed in pretty well.

ok i think im ruling out ppm3 and will get either sentinal or fuzzy ppm2a

is it true CAPppm2a is made by GE in the usa?
