Amazon sells items made and shipped from China now. If it says that those items are Chinese made and shipped from there in the ad somewhere, it's well hidden.
I bought an outside security camera delivered on July 23 that is now acting fluey. Amazon has a blurb on my orders page for that particular item stating "return expired August 24". One month after delivery? Whoa. Then dealing with the camera's Chinese customer support has been a challenge to say the least, deciphering their broken English.
Then I bought a handheld LED microscope recommended by a mod here. I think the
post was removed. I can't find it. Anyway, I thought that plugged into my phone. It doesn't. It's Windows OS only and full sized a USB plug. I don't use Windows. I like Linux Mint.
I ordered it September 3 but is still in the China mail system somewhere. And has very bad reviews it turns out, not even 1 five star. I am trying to return it saying, "Bought by mistake" hoping they catch it before it leaves China. In reality, probably not. So when it gets here I'll have to take it unopened to a Kohl's for return.
They do make little LED handheld tricome scopes that'll plug into your phone. Just not that one.
Anyway, you hafta just be extra cautious buying ANYTHING these days. Especially from Amazon it seems.
