Butter dilema

Hello IC.
I would like to take some BHO and mix it into butter so it can be ingested. I'm wondering if anyone knows the right proportions for the mix. The oil is beautiful amber and very potent. I was thinking 1/4-1/2 oz BHO per lb of butter. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I just made 1 pound of butter...I started with 2 oz of buds...then, just to be sure...I put another 2 oz of trim-- I think it will be good--:biggrin:
I also have oz's of BHO...I also have 3 pounds of butter left--
Tomorrow I will do 1 Oz of BHO for a pound of butter...then invite some friends over to get "Toasted"!! I toast some bread, and put a good bit of butter on it...and wait for the festivities!! :biggrin:
 
Thank you for the info. I want to make sure that the BHO/butter ratio is high enough to be used for pain relief; at the same time the person it is meant for needs to be able to function throughout the day.

basic recipes call for .25g per edible
THIS IS NOT for hash-extracts only for BUDS for 1st timers


a hash recipe = more precise results.

rule of thumb a hash iso rinse generally pulls about a 10% return so a 10g of buds = 1g of hash.

there is math somewhere in there but too lazy now to do it.. :)

Ok, I posted in here that I was going to make some BHO butter...but I haven't yet---
Here's my question...do I need to use water with it, since there will be no organic material?? And do I need to cook it as long??
I was thinking just to slowly simmer the butter, then add the BHO, and cook it on low heat for 20 mins or so-- (Prolly use a double boiler)
Any firm knowledge on this??

The acids are best (most potent) when fully activated by 250F for 25-30 minutes.

Lower temps = longer times needed, Higher temps = shorter times.

I melted organic butter in a double boiler. Prior to that I put the jar w/ oil into a hot water bath for 15-20 min (I brought the water to a gentle boil, placed the jar into the pot and left it on low with a thermometer in the water. the water temp was around 85-90C)
When the oil was fully liquified I simply whisked it into the butter. Stuck in the fridge overnight and viola! There was a small amount of liquid that separated out of the butter which was on the very bottom of the cooling container.

That butter will be the most potent when you find a recipe that finishes the decarb process during baking/cooking. :D
