"They really just kept to themselves. You never saw them. When you did, they were friendly. Never had any problems at all,” said Hahn the neighbor.

What a fucking shame! I wish them the best.

They were not stealing electricity, big bills paid on time. There wasn't a snitch. There wasn't even an investigation. Its always the dumb shit I swear..

There was a felony arrest warrant for the previous owner of the house, for several thousand in forged checks.

Apparently a bunch of cops came to the house banging and looking for the lady with the warrant that hadn't owned the house in a few years; but had never updated her addy... more cops were then called to the property for whatever reason and voila.

reminds me of how i got my guns siezed...lol

Here is the article:

AUSTIN -- Austin police busted a large marijuana grow operation in South Austin. Police arrested two men and confiscated what they call a "large amount" of plants in different stages of growth.
In KVUE’s exclusive footage courtesy of Chris Hahn, you can see undercover officers armed with gloves and cardboard boxes busting what they call a "grow house."

"I didn't know what to think. I was shocked. I’ve never seen anything like this, in person,” said Chris Hahn.

Hahn lives next door to the South Austin two-story home. He says he heard a loud banging. Police broke down the wooden front door, leading to what they call dozens of small and medium-sized marijuana plants.

"It took them 15 minutes or so to get in there. They were banging and banging," said Hahn.

Hahn took several photographs of the drug raid that began around 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of Gail Street in South Austin. One photo shows officers dressed in SWAT gear and helmets. Another picture shows about a dozen officers waiting outside. A third photograph shows officers entering the home with cardboard boxes.

Hahn says he saw officers take away two men in handcuffs -- two men, he says, were quiet neighbors.

"They really just kept to themselves. You never saw them. When you did, they were friendly. Never had any problems at all,” said Hahn.

Police collected evidence and took pictures but did not find any weapons inside the house.

Detectives are still investigating and processing evidence. They say the owners could face jail time. When police get a final count of the number of plants, they will officially file charges.

Meanwhile, the neighbor down the street has left his pill case on the table with alot of bad pills, and a kid was around that pill box unsupervised. Sarcasim

But hey, these friendly people got busted instsead.

What an unfortunate event for these people, but probable cause, regardless of what the warrant is for equal GG.

Every bust ive read these past two weeks, were bad luck, no loose lips.

Pretty sure the cops in Austin area are known for data mining electric records. Could of used the old lady excuse to bust in.

Texas cops are dirty all over the state. They bring one of their kids yard dog out to a pullover and walk it around the car, get where you can't see the dog, and yell "Hit, the dog Hit" so they can illegally ransack your car to see if they can score on you. Some times they already have information you are holding and where you are going. Other times they just get their snitch to call you looking to score and if you drop by to sell them some, they follow you a good ways from the snitches house and then pull the illegal search on you. Of course, they won't produce a video when your lawyer requests one because that would burn their stupid asses. This is both a way to raise money for job security and a way to exercise their hate on drug users. Abilene is well know for this type of shit. Snitches are rampant there as well as cops who catch young girls and scare them into fucking and snitching for them. The meth and coke/crack problems give them plenty of takers on their two bit chickenshit be a snitch offers when they bust people. Austin is just as chickenshit. Texas passed a law where departments could just issue a ticket for pot but to date, I know of no know instances where any cop department has used it. It cuts out the court money, lawyer money, and bail bond money if they did. And money is what this bunch of redneck assholes is all about. It take 4 permits of upwards of $1000 to open a hot dog stand in Texas. Total redneck government haters have have been replaced by greedy taxing controlling socialist haters in government. Church fucks and control freaks. Ron Paul is one of the few politicians left in Texas that is worth a fuck at all. Church colleges rule Abilene. Especially ACU and the Church of Christ cultists . Think they have wiggled into and now make up a big part of the city system there. Those cult owned businesses get favored in contracts and zoning decisions. They affect the state school systems also by getting elected to school boards. I always wonder how they justify that illegal hater shit in their own minds but can come to no reasonable conclusion so I can only ask these system cheaters - what would Jesus do....So the moral to this story? Don't drive through Texas holding and expecting to get treated fairly by cops if you get pulled over. Use cruise control ! If they even suspect you might have something, they are going to get a fake or real dog they use to search your car - if it really hits or not. They are pulling over all sorts of cars on the Interstates also and sometimes they get drug loads or money cars headed for Mexico that they use to finance their "drug task forces" better know as armed robbery squads. Most Texans know to check all their lights and signals before driving at night (every night), have their registration and inspection sticker current, have paid up insurance paid up and their paperwork ready and easy to get to, have a clean car inside and out, don't drive a beater around with drugs on you, and don't drive anything with drugs on you all the time. Dealers only carry what they are going to deliver and go straight to their customers house. Parking lot deals are frowned upon because we all know they can be cops or robbers meeting them there. The kids riding around with drugs, pot, or booze get busted every day in Texas. Not a good situation in illegal search land...don't fuck with anyone under 50...don't buy, use, or sell cartel drugs including pot. Smoke at home! These Mexican cartels are creating heat all across the US or they are getting blamed for it anyway. Might just be a DEA excuse for harassing everyone and getting by with all of the Nazi tactics. But either way the cops are hot on cartel members and bust teams of them every month so the bottom line is cartel dope and dealers are hot. Cop informants are working their way up into cartel organizations and then busting their way back down to the street. A different spy type of dope busting model. Plus their dealers usually sell coke and meth and offer it to your teens/preteens when they go to buy a sack of shit weed from them. Cartels also give illegals a way to raise money when they "move" here. They illegally cross the border with a fronted kilo of coke on them, hang out at taquerias and 3rd world taco joints and sell it to other 3rd world customers, while living under a bridge somewhere or in a safe house with 20 illegals to a room living there. Then they deal out and next month there are living in their own 3 bedroom house with two cars and living better than the kids that grew up in Texas and can't find decent work there. Cartel weed is not mature enough and may have all sorts of shit sprayed on it. Taste like piss? Wonder why? Thanks for reading this rant...Texas cops are becoming military weaponized Nazis. The US government is giving grants to them for machine guns, grenade launchers, armored vehicles, and other military equipment for them making tons of small and large drug busts. Not sure why though, but I have my suspicions...
