BushyOldGrower's LSD#1- A grow in review

Hello all

I just finished trimming my LSD #1 plant and I feel motivated to do a little grow summary.

Lets start off with the baby photos
They're so cute when they're young and then they grow up to be fat, hairy, and stinky!

They were vegged under @ 150w cf's. They start out in plain pro-mix and then when I transplant I throw in some Guano, Dolomite Lime, and Bone Meal.

I germed 6, one was a bit slow so I culled her..and then I culled another for being sub-par as well. They were not by any means crappy plant I was just making room for the shining stars

So I flowered four and got 3/4 females. And here's where I met my first problem with this grow: I flowered too late! The damned things overgrew my small space in about a week! I tried to keep a minimum of two plants as they all looked so great but I could only fit one No biggie! Take a look at how she turned out

So she's been hanging to dry for about 8 or 9 days and the buds were getting crispy...so I took the plant which was still whole (minus the fanleaves/sugar trim) and separated her into branches.

Those buds are sick! Very hairy eh? I noticed that strains grown under my 250 were hairier that they are now under my 400. I also notice that side buds that don't get much light are way hairier too.

Those buds are so fat though! And those buds are attached to some serious lumber!!!

Haha, you got it from a cereal box? They turned out pretty good regardless!

..and my fingers were pretty sticky when I was handling the camera. I had to be sure it was cleaned off before I gave it back to him haha

Seriously this is the nicest bud I've grown. The colour of the hairs is wicked, the smell is of sour diesel, and the taste at this point is similar to the smell. It really leaves a sour taste on the exhale. The smoke is incredibly smooth even though it isn't fully dried or cured. I'll give a full smoke report in a couple weeks

So I placed all the trimmed buds you see below in a cardboard box to finish they're drying time. In a few days they should be good to go into the curing jars. This is the best flush/dry/cure I've given to any buds yet so it should just get better and better.

Yeah I also took two clones from a pheno that I culled early. They're both doing incredibly well now and have taken off since topping them. I'm going to flower one of them and keep the other as a mother plant for some outdoor efforts this summer.

I know exactly what you mean about the pistils. It seems that plants under smaller light setups produce far more than say under a 400w light. I'm not sure why...

Hope you all enjoy the pics as I certainly do hehe but I'm biased. I'm goin' out for a while but I'll check back later tonight.

I fully understand the "trippy" effect you were describing BOG. It's like that feeling of disassociation you get at the onset of a shroom trip. So far the high is incredible! Today I smoked some scissor jam and was really motivated to do stuff..it's also a very complacent high as well...not too racy or couchlock..a nice balance. But I have to admit that comming down from such potent herb can leave you a little tired..and hungry

Captain Canibus: I've actually shut down my 250w grow for the time being. I may flower a clone under a 150 HPS but that's optimistic. I don't know if I could even smoke all the bud I'd get from a 400watter! It would take me a while that's for sure.

Why are you moving down in wattage? Security? You do live next to a COP haha! And trust me dude, I didn't think I could smoke all the pot I got from my 250, and I ran out

I am trying to set up a continuous harvest setup with my 400. Starting early april I will be harvesting nearly every week for over 6 weeks.

Nate: Man this is some potent herb...no kidding you man...2 hit shit. I'm moving down in wattage for the moment because my pops isn't sure if he wants me growing anymore..so in the mean time I'm just doin' some small stuff...keeping a couple clones around and starting a few seeds to get ready for the outdoor. But I'm hoping to be able to set up again sometime soon.

Your plan sounds wicked man...I love perpetual harvest gardens and when/if I get up and running again soon I'll be doin' the same. I'm stoked to see how things develop.

...how should I put this...it's bomb-diggity-dank herb!!!

Well it's not cured at all but the taste isn't what I'm reporting on here...it's the devastating potency of this weed! This is the first strain I've grown that is actually "Two-hit shit". I've been smoking one joint for two days! I just light it up..take a few good hits and then snip off the cherry with some scissors. A couple hours later..I repeat Good stuff....but it's defintely possible to smoke-too much.

...so last night I was in the mood for a good blazin'. I met up with my best friend and his girlfriend and rolled up a big two-paper joint of LSD (maybe 1.5-2g). Well his girlfriend didn't feel like smoking for whatever reason and we knew we wouldn't smoke the whole thing to ourselves...so we enlisted the help of a few smoking buddies.

They pitched a joint and the session was on..now keep in mind we're all regular tokers (ie. once a day minimum). By the end of our smoke out we were all pretty toasted and we parted ways...me and my friend going back to his place.

I know this may be hard to believe but this is the honest truth....within the next hour we were both trippin' out, something that really hasn't happened from herb in ages. My heart was racing and I thought I was having difficulty breathing for a second but my buddy's girl said my breathing was fine...my heart was definitely pounding though and I was getting rushes throughout my body where my legs or arms would go numb. I thought at one point that I had swallowed water into my lungs and that's why I was freaking out mostly...I was honestly afraid that there was a pool of liquid in my lungs and I was gonna drown! It took me a good 20 minutes or so to shake that feeling.

My friend wasn't doing too good either and for the first time ever I saw him puke his guts out just from smokin' herb. He claimed it was some McD's we ate earlier but I highly doubt that...he looked pretty tripped out.

So anyways once the high had dwindled a bit (about 3 hours later) we went out for some munchies..man I ate so much I was so sick this morning

So that's just a little mini-report on the smoke-out last night. I haven't spoken to any of the other guys yet but I would assume they had similar experiences. I'll need to do some more scientific evaluations to determine if the LSD was in fact the cause of my "discomfort"

Haha! So it's affirmative..the LSD was the crippling herb that I smoked that night...Words of wisdom: Smoke just a little if you need to get anything done....
