Bushmans / Blueberry / Lemon Skunk - selecting mothers

Hi guys

this is my first growreport on icmag

I've got some seeds:



+ 1 Blueberry Fem. (ApeOrigin)
+ 2 Lemon Skunk Fem. (DNA)

The plan is to test these seeds indoor and select some mothers for the outdoor seasson 2017 at 50 degrees of north latitude. And if the Bushmans seeds are fine, there will also be some further outdoor projekts...

My full-metall-grow-room:

Not very spectaculare at this moment: the seeds are in jiffys since today. The temperature is between 25-28°C and I hope to see some heads on january the 1st

Growarea is about 0,31 m2 and there is place for 8 plants in the flowering period.

Light is Bonsai Hero Hans Panel 150w LED.

Hope my english is good enough and you'll understand what I mean...don't hasitate to ask questions!

time for a little update:

The germinatione-quote was 100% but one of the two lemon-skunks stoped to grow and died on 3th day...R.I.P.

no, I never use root enzymes - rootenzymes are overrated if the soil is of good quality.

the secret is:

-my selfmade airpots (few little holes in the pots)
-always warm roots (I use a heater mat)

I've cut some clones today and put them in this second growbox for gendercheck:

i think, in 2 weeks it will start to be more exciting.

we are 12/12 since yesterday.

I kept 6 plants:
*Lemon Skunk
*Blueberry
*4xBushman's (2 like sativa streaching plants and 2 bushy plants)

the lemonskunk is in the huge pot - never grow in this, it's a test
one bushman is in a small pot - also an experiment with own soil-mix. all pots are "air-pots".

left is the lemonskunk than one blueberry and the rest is bushman's.

this is the bushman's. it's flowering very fast and hairy.

the skunk is like a skunk and the blueberry is growing like a typical indika.

thanx! yes, there isn't much info but I've seen som pictures from (I hope) the same batch of seeds on grower.ch and thay were very good looking and the grower was assured of the vanilla taste - not exact the same like the old original from herbaria but very similar...

but we'll see what it will be I personaly dont know the original from herbaria and other releases, I only hope for some early and tasty phenos for the next outdoor projekt. some weed and a pund of good hash and I'll be happy

the blueberry - looking very beatifull with a lot of branches but I didn't liked the smell and there was only very little resin after 4 weeks so I've killed this plant and made some roome for the other girls - its not easy to select a very good plant if you only have ONE seed:

Wow. im suprised the Bushman was so frosty during the beginning of flower!! The sativas ive seen usually take A little longer to show that amount of frost on the bushmans! Im so happy you coontinued and update this grow log bro!! Im going to be popping my seeds very soon!

Why didnt you like the smell of the Blueberry? What does the Bushman smell like, and did she stretch alot?

I think that it was not the typical smell of the blueberry. sometimes you got a strange phenotype and when there is no resin and it'smells like poison (I don't know, how to discribe this) so it dosn't make sense to me to keep this plant - and as you can see, the growroom ist still full

the bushman smell more spicy and tangy - the 2 sativa plants has also a little fruit inside....I hope that it turns more into fruit...
but as you can see, the plants are very fast has resin and will be 1-2 weeks ready before the skunk...will be good for outdoor...

the strech was about +50%...more like an indika - as you can see, the skunk (on the right side in the huge pot) had more strech and the buds are smaller...but it has the more known and familiar smell to me...I know it since 20 years

nice grow, where did you source the Bushman's from?
My understanding is Bushmans is Ciskei...which is what we call Transkei in SA ??
