Burning Man 2007

A friend of mine has set me up with a ticket for pick-up at will call.

I've never been to Burning Man. The environment sounds absolutely miserable.

I want to go for the music and the art, but I'm really on the fence about it.

Anyone have any thoughts about it?

I imagine it's a hot, smelly, dust hole, from what friends said, but alot of fun if you are single and like psychedelic drugs. I heard the blow job aerobics are a big hit, just find a friend or meet someone there and perfect your blowjob skills while on E...

I heard important tips were to take lots of gallons of water, herbs, and anything that you can trade such as costumes, food items, or any usefull objects...and extra psychedelics..

I watched a show on it, and it sounds like fun for "camping type" of people. If your one of them people who like the idea of camping, but once your out there and exposed to the elements you shutter at the sight of an ant.. prolly not the place for you. My uncle went once a few years ago.. and said it was pretty cool.,, but the body odor was out of control. hahaha.. Maybe i will bring a few boxes of underarm deodorant to give as trade, when i go.. When i get my chance to go, i'll bring plenty of water, food, cannabis, condoms, shrooms, glo sticks, a bicycle, some glow'n'dark body paint, mouthwash, and toiletpaper. That sound about right.. looks like fun to me, naked people trippin and lovin the world.. Excellent!!! My advice GO now before you cant go later!.. Peace, love, wisdom..

Well, I was going then I was not going now I'm going, tomorrow.

Another friend, Captain Nemo, says he can't contain his enthusiasm any longer and is firing up the Nautilus (a painted, converted school bus). So I am going to Burning Man in a psychedelic bus ----- LORD HELP ME! I didn't see that on the horizon.

Thanks for your posted thoughts my friends.

So wish me well,

Didja hear? Someone couldn't wait, and lit the man up early. Apparently he will be rebuilt for the scheduled burn, on Sunday.

Stay safe,

The Man catches fire around 3 in the morning on Tuesday 8/28, crews scramble to rebuild as reported from BRC's Radio.[2][3] A Burning Man participant commits suicide. The man was found dead the morning of August 30, hanging from the

inside of a two-story high tent. The apparent suicide would be the festival's first in its 21 year history. [4]

It doesn't end there, crazy stats on here...it's bigger than I thought....

Burning Man and effect on global warming

A group of San Francisco scientists are calculating how much the event will contribute to global warming.[24] They have created the CoolingMan organization[25] and have implemented a system that will calculate how much greenhouse gases Burning Man participants will create. The project has inspired many to look for positive ways to get involved in the global warming and climate change movements by seeking out solutions. The CoolingMan website suggests ways that Burners may offset the damage by planting trees or investing in alternative energy solutions.[26] Since this is a new development, the impact won't be fully realized until Burning Man 2007, a year when ecological concerns will also be explored through the art theme of "The Green Man".
