Burned Buds

Well my wife has done it again. After destroying my first two grows she is almost succeding at destroying the third. I have two plants one skunk special and one nebula. They are in a closet with the door 1/4 open to get air in. They are about week 5 flowering and I got 1 ft colas on the nebula and 6inch on the skunk special. She closed the door yesterday morning for reasons unbenoced to anyone and they fried. Most of the leaves are brittle and the skunk special buds have gone from white hairs to brown hairs. The nebula hairs are fine still nice and white but the leaves are brown and brittle also. I still have a good 3 weeks for flower. Should I chop the skunk special or leave her in for another 3 weeks. Has my potency gone out the window for the skunk?

Wow!! I just did this EXACT SAME THING on my clones and seedlings...UGH... had em in a deep freeze with a CFL over em... cat jumped on top of the freezer door shutting it... and ending the lives of many of my girls and seedlings...

I feel for ya.... BUT!!

DON"T CHOP SHIT!! ok.... these plants have healthy root systems and they are shocked right now... but providing this dosen't happen to them again.... anytime soon anyways... they will pull out of it... and you will get more than you have now.. potency will still increase.... I love Nebula...nice 9wk plant (least mine is)
Sorry that happened bro... but it will be better in a few weeks than it is right now...

The ONLY way I would even think of cutting.. is if I had something else READY TO GO RIGHT NOW!!... you may want to start some new ones... and if your existing plants don't pull out of it like expected... when the new ones are ready to go...then cut what you got...

P.S. I did this to my plants 36hrs ago.. I noticed that the ones that lived actually looked worse NOW... more of the heated leaves that looked like they might make it yesterday.. died today... BUT they will get better so if you notice 24 hrs later they look worse... thats normal... now if 72hrs later they look EVEN WORSE... maybe IT IS time they die.. but I really doubt they will look worse... mine are tiny small root systems and not much there.. yours big healthy ladies... thanks so much. I am a lot more relived now. Yea my nebula is really kicking ass. And I thought the skunk would be the big producer.

Dude I wanted to add.... raise your lights a bit for a few days.... intense light will kill off some of the weaker leaves...

And yeah.. Neb's is one of the better producers I have EVER grown... easy to get 3-4oz plants with only 10-14 days veg... Her buds really swell and at the end she gets a golden look as the trichs start to cloud its awsome... I'm sure your neb's is QUITE crystally? even at 5 wks.. The friend that gave me my cut.. would take the top buds at 7 to 71/2 wks then the rest at 9.
I grow it in a bucket with a 3 foot tomato basket around her... let her go 9-91/2 wks get some Powerful shit... just got to watch for the bud mold in those big fat older buds..

joselima23, sorry to hear bout the fry man, after this grow, it will help u a lot if u install an extractor on 1 side of the closet a bathroom extractor will work fine and on the opposite side if possible put a couple of vents in and if your using a high wattage bulb in a small space try getting sum mandala seeds as they are heat resistant more than most breeders. hope tht helps and good luk!

well I guess a picture is worth a thousand words. I personally think thta the Skunk is done. I seems to have received tons more damage then the nebula. The nebulas leaves are crunky but it seem to be making a small comeback. Plus almost none of the hairs are brown.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Should I strick down on the skunk today or let her grow out. I touched the hairs today and they were crunky also. fell apart in my hands. I am thinking of putting some in a bowl to see if it has any potency whats so ever.

GEt a new wife....Just kidding bro, these things happen sometimes especially when the love is not there. I know my fiance just doesnt love the plants as much as I do. Thats why no offense to her, she is only allowed to look and interact with them very minimally. NExt go arround maybe you could rig some kind of cooling system for the light, or have a better ventilation system.. For a small closet grow this can seem like a hassle but, a few holes with a six inch hole saw, some flanges, fans and ducting and you got yourself a serious little set up tucked away in your humble closet.... Good luck bro and make sure to wack your wife on the knuckles with a ruler......LOL..
