Im going to flower 4 plants in 5 gallon containers in my 3x3 tent. How high should i make my screen off of top of plants. I have 8' tent with a plasma and 600w gavita pro and an el2 controller. Howmuch higher than screen do these nugs get? Guessing i need to keep top of plants under 4 feet at finish.

You can put it 12-18" above the the top of the pot, with the gavita I would say the lower you keep the plants trained the better off you'll be. I'd rather have the canopy too low and have to drop the light than the other way around... which is you run out of head space and fry your nugs
Different roads leading to the same place... your goal is a full and even canopy whether there's 2 plants or 5000. Whatever method works better for you that's the best method. The one thing I might interject however is that screens help a lot with support when the colas start getting heavy in the last couple weeks of flower. Without a screen you would need to run twine up to hooks on the walls or cieling if they get too big
