Bugs Eating My Clones!!!

I sprayed my UNROOTED clones with a water and mild dish detergent mixture to try and fight the bugs(i think spider mites)off. Can I use Safer 3n1 on my UNROOTED clones without killing them???

no, dont spray if there not rooted.. next time clone in large ziploc bags. no bugs and roots in 10 days or soo. i dont have bug problems so i clone anywhere. but ive cloned in ziploc bags before and the work GREAT!!! and keeps all the pests out, just let in air once a day .i am shure you know this, but prevention is the key, use that 3 in 1 on a regular basis o nthe moms and the garden in general when there rooted. i spray neem oil every three days..

no, i adjusted the mothers like you said sproutco, these are pics of my ice and sweet purple skunk clones that have spider mites. You can see on the 4th pic how the bugs have eaten the edges out. I just been spraying them with fresh water inside the clone dome waiting for them to root but I didnt wanna lose them to the bugs

That "eaten" look may be something like micronutrient problems. They are ^&*#$%^ up as the leaf expands. I am looking to see if your 2 part already contains boron, copper, zinc, and molybdenum. I will get back to you about this later.

is there a safe fert mixture i can use on my unrooted clones? i got fresh tap water in the dome tray but i spray them everyday with a 5-0-1 Floramicro mix at 400ppm

I don't think I would add any foliar sprays of nutrients. Sensi grow part a 3-0-0 does contain all the micronutrients so you should not have to add the micro booster or whatever to your 2 part fert. http://www.advancednutrients.com/product_label_pdfs/Sensi_Grow_PartA_hydroponic_plant_food.html Rather than depend on store bought fixed fertilizers you can make your own. I do. If this interests you, be sure to read the thread completely including all the links that provide more information. http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=31505

They're pretty much dead except for the first one (which MAY make it)...looks like from too high of humidity & heat + a lack of fresh air IMO. The issues with the edges of the leaves turning brown is fungal in nature from the reasons mentioned above causing the leaves to rot.

The last and only time I tried rapid rooters I had the same problem...so I went to a RW/bubbler setup and couldn't be happier. No domes, no misting, just put em in and turn on the bubbles.

BTW, Spider mites don't "eat" the leaves...they suck the chlorophyll from the leaves which leaves tiny white spots on it. Unless they are horribly infested, mites won't slow clone rooting usually so you can take care of the mites after they are rooted. I prefer Avid personally for clones, but some get a little squeamish using it...either that or they just don't have access to it.

It's time to invest in a better cam bro...

appreciate it, u think its safe to leave the dome off to reduce humidity and temp without them wilting?

hey dude

next time try using dish soap, garlic, and pepper light on the soap and heavy on the garlic and pepper. i use this every 3 weeks or so just in case. and it works really good for folks needed a fast fix.

IMO I would leave the dome on. Those cuttings looked bad from the start I bet. You need to get your mother plants healthy so your cuttings will also be. Like I said before, I don't think you need to add the micro to your 2 part.

Yeah, leave it on most of the time...just make sure to pull it off for a few minutes every couple of hours so that they get some fresh air. Depending on your room environment, it can be a tricky balancing act until you get it nailed down and find the best cloning method for your setup.
