Buds look like Don King's Afro !!! ???

Buds look like afro! We are doing old school OG indoors in rockwool. Some of the plants occassionally get weak and the buds look like Don King's hair with smaller calyxs's and less trichomes but relatively more white hairs. We call it "Fro" for short. Only about 0-5% of crops but its often there. Other plants are typically great. Not always entire plant, it can be certain branches (Which makes me think it could be a virus). Association w high temps and stress. We never really backtracked to veg plants but thats next step.

My ideas include
* Virus
* Fungus
* Unhappy plant

Any ideas? We have seen it alot so i bet others get it.
