BUDS!!!! (Chem99/Purple Kush V2.0/Sour Diesel)

Have posted some of these before here and there, thought I'd share them with you all here, in one place

First up the Sour Diesel, this is Rez's Sour D IBL from his drop a couple years ago.

And next up is the Chem99. Forgive me, I've mistakenly mislabeled the breeder in the below pics. It was one of those "way too high" moments, and they both started with an "M" . . .

The breeder is Mosca Negra, NOT MANDALA. I'm really sorry about that . . .

I really hope you all like the pics. I'm just excited to be done with school and to have time for the garden again. I'll be doing smoke reports for these strains shortly, as well as for several other strains I've run recently like Lemon Stinky and Jack Herer.

Everything I run is grown 100% organically in soil. I've done a few runs in coco the last year with excellent results, but admit I still prefer soil-based mediums. Either way, the genetics were outstanding

The Purple Kush V2.0 looks like something I had around this time last year. Very strong indica buzz, no? Maybe I had v1.0 lol Still K++ Wish I was lucky enough to have some nugs that nice.

Thanks man! I don't work cuttings, I take my own of course, but everything I run I found in seeds. It's cool to see so many phenos, to date I've grown out over twenty strains from seed, in many cases starting with as many as 20 seeds . . . Blueberry for example, I grew out over 20 beans to find my favorite . . . found a lot of mutants tho, lol.

To date the best smoke I've ever grown was a pheno of Sensi's Jack Herer . . . crazy good stuff. Probably ever more potent than my Sour D IBL pheno I found in pack of Rez's beans, pictured above is the dried bud, here's a couple shots of her in flower:

And here's Sensi's Jack Herer, sorry the quality isn't better, these were shot with a Nikon SLR and Nikon glass, but I have to degrade the image quality a TON to upload the pics here, so you lose a lot of color and detail, sorry about that. The "overall" pic doesn't do it justice, the buds are gigantic, falling over each-other.

Yah, it was an indica buzz. I'll be honest, most of the purple varieties I've grown have fallen short in other categories. These had the color, but were weak on smell/taste. The potency was so-so, I probably wouldn't run it again. It wasn't bad smoke or anything, but far from my favorite.

I'm looking for a better purple plant right now, but have stopped looking for purple genetics and starting looking for potent stinkers and decided to grow out a bunch of those and hope to find a purple pheno. I'm running 4,200 watts (veg and fllower lights combined) so I'll dedicate some time for this yet this year. For the strain, I selected Cannaventure's Jazz Berry Jam, which looks to be outstanding, we'll see though. I'm also running Mosca's Old Time Indiana Bubblegum, but am less hopeful of finding a purple pheno and more hopeful of just finding a keep with some color. If I do you can bet I'll post it up on here

Agreed, there are many better strains out there. I would take Banana Kush over Purple Kush any day. I found that Banana Kush was very strong smelling and much more potent. Maybe it wasn't purple but it packed a punch, mostly to the nostrils though. I have come across some very potent/tastey purple nugs before but I didn't grow them or they were grown from bag seed so I couldn't tell you the strain. The Jack Herer looks amazing! Keep up the great work!

Holy moly that Jack Herer looks good, serious buds! Never grown it myself but done sensi's Jack Flash which is a shorter flowering cross with skunk#1.
