Budget billing energy company

Do any of you guys have power company's who offer a budget billing option for their power bill? If you sign up for it does it raise any red flags?

I've used it before. It shouldn't set off any red flags, honestly. It's just a different way of billing which distributes your utility usage over a larger period of time, and then makes an attempt to even your bills out.

They see my energy usage every 15 minutes either way.

I've heard that PG&E charges has a peak limit with the CARE program. Once you pass the limit they charge you the highest rate they offer.
