bud stunt

Seems to be a mystery....everything was going fine, had a little bout with powdery mildew, I seem to have won the match with a sulfur burner, bud looks great but just stopped growing, rippened as usual, but zero bud growth after about 3 weeks......no signs of over water, no signs of over fert, otherwise very healthy plants.........

Any comforting words would be tresured........

Weird. What age are your plants exactly? 3 weeks into flowering or veg? Have you trimmed or pruned lately? That can stunt growth for a short period. Have you changed your regimen in any way lately?

Thanks for the replies.....
the plants are now at 8 weeks of flower and they look like they are just starting to bud. I haven't trimmed them once, or changed the regime.
No males........all female, just real small buds, and perfectly ripe.....also, a really familar strain.....what else could it be??????

Jokes aside, when nothing looks obvious above ground check out below. Whats the run off ph? Do the root masses look healthy? Have you used something new in the medium?

there is another strain in there doing the same thing....Verite---I do think the roots got too cold and they just remained suspended in time, that's even what they look like.....hard hard lesson........

I have heard of people raising the plants off the cold concrete floor with small boards or crates to help with that. Seems that even just the small lack of contact with it will prevent it from sucking the heat out of the container.

I'm going to use corragated (sp?) fiber glass sheets, then coco matting, then rockwool cubes. I did that every other time and did great. I skipped that the last time, and it proved to be a huge mistake......harvesting now.............
