Hi,
I am a week away from harvest and one of my plants has some buds with bud rot. What should I do? I'm torn between spraying them with an organic fungicide i have and sacrifice taste or to just cut them down and quick dry them. I have already cut off all affected parts of the plant. Any help is appreciated.

I would do just that and wait and see. if it continues at a bad rate, pull it..

If it stops or only affects a little more, then so be it.. Make sure to trim it ALL off though..

to late when rot sents in you cant smoke those buds. Cut them now and save the buds that dont have rot. You can make Bubble out of the buds that have rot.

DO NOT SPRAY ANYTHING ON YA PLANTS..it will just make it worse...
you have a few options...cut them all...or just check all the girls and just cut one...but i would prolly do the budpluck...just cut out the infected areas and let the plants go...but ith the latter you gotte be shure you got it all..and then it still can come back

Before reading these posts i already took immediate action, harvested the plants that were at risk and cut out and threw away any infected buds. My other 6 plants in their last week of flowering have not shown any signs of rot, my theory being that my maui wowi plants' genetics are resistant to mold in humid climates, but then again... that is only a theory. I am going to let my flushing cycle take its toll on those for about 5 days more and cut them down as well, since that is their harvest date and they seem healthy.

I currently have my harvested uninfected buds from my infected plants and it is currently drying, tomorrow i will throw a fat fan on them to hurry the process. Hopefully with some rapid drying and brutal ass trimming this will quash any soon to come mold growth on these buds and at least make them suitable for edibles or hash.

Any further thoughts or comments about how rapid the spread of bud rot is,how threatening it is to my remaining healthy crop, or how effective my strategy is to averting further mold damage on my harvested crop will be extremely useful.
I'm thankful for the help.

Im very sorry to hear about your bud rot. I don't really like to spray buds with rot problems, as I've never really seen it help and it makes me worried about getting more moisture somewhere that it cant try properly. I usually add a more airflow with room fans and maybe use a dehumidifier as well. Even if you've cut the rot off buds I'd be careful about smoking them. Some people will still use them for making butter.

Hope this helps,
