BubbleGum Problems... Yellowing? *pics inside*

Welcome to my problem. :badday:

I had this same problem with my last grow and they ended up dying smaller than these ones. Only last time 8 died, not 5. What am I doing wrong? I thought my enviornment was good... I'm using one airstone in each 3.5gal bucket. I rooted in RR plugs and everything, this color problem just started recently.. like over a period of 3-4 days. Each plant has a few healthy roots in the rez, they have only been in there for a few days. My EC is 1.0 in each bucket. I'm using Fox Farm Grow and Big Bloom, following the Fox Farm Schedule for hydro, just a little lighter. I also have 1tsp per gallon of Liquid Karma and Hydrogaurd as well.

I'm on 18/6 under a 400 watt HPS. They rooted under 2x50watt grow flouros. I bought a humidifier to get my RH up to like 50-60% and it is, however I was wondering if the water going into the humidifier needs to be ph adjusted, could this cause the yellowing? I also figured out that the humidity is higher during the dark period then during the light period. Could this be it? My rez temps are good, 68-73 F. My Hut temps are 69-78 F. Ph of each rez is 5.6-5.9

What could cause these problems? I don't want to lose the rest of my bubblegum. Any help really is appreciated.

I took these pics with the lights off, this is real color. These plants are 1 week 3 days old.

you need to find out what your ph is asap and adjust to 5.6-5.9 now!

Strain of Mj - bubblegum
Hydroponic or soil - hydro, DWC
From seed or clone - seed
Age of plant in question - 1 week, 5 days
What stage (Veg/Flower; how many days into) - veg
Medium (Soil, Rockwool, Hydroton etc.) - hydrotron
Container/Pot size - 6 inch netpot
Have they been transplanted, if so how long ago - no
If soil, composition ratios (peat moss, perilite, vermiculite etc.)?
Water runoff Ph - 5.9
Nutrients added - Grow Big, Big Bloom both Forx Farm. Cal Mag & Liquid Karma, Hydrogard and Hydrozyme
Ratios of nutrients (N% P% K%) - I wish I knew
Feeding schedule - when they look hungry, its early
When were they last fed/watered - today, cal mag and hydrozyme
How are you determining when to feed/water (weight, wilting, etc.) - Leaf signs, PPM changes.
TDS/EC/PPM - a litte under 700PPMs, 1.4 EC
Tap/RO/Distilled water - tap
Ph before and after adding nutrients - 5.9
Is your Ph equipment properly calibrated - yes
Light intensity/Age of bulb/Wattage - 400 watt hps, 2 grows on it.
Distance to the canopy - 1 foot
Temps at canopy - 70-78 F
Temps at root zone or reservoir - 68-75 F
Day/Night temps (Min.-Max.) - Day, 68-76F / Night, 67-73 F
Current air flow (CFM) - 250CFM
Is there air blowing directly onto plant - yes, fan
Using CO2 - no
Relative humidity - 50%
Growing technique (Scrog, Sog, Supercropping etc.) - scrog eventually
Has plant recently been pruned, clones taken, fimmed or pinched - none of the above
Pests - none
Chemicals used to irradicate - none
If so,When?

Hows that, thanks for any help. Since adding cal mag I have noticed some green coming back.

Grow big and big bloom are not intended for hydro. They mainly lack calcium and magnesium. No wonder your seeing improvement with the cal mag. Switch ferts to gh 3 part, floranova, pbp for hydro + cal mag plus, etc... By the way, their foxfarm hydro formulations are lacking...

oh yea... top leaf deficiency probably means root damage.

I was reading lady's post and she said grow big and big bloom aren't for hydro? Why does Fox Farm have a hydro feeding schedule? Why does grow big say " hydroponic " across the side? Should I be that concerned, should I really switch out my nutes? If so, how?

Is the grow big 3-2-6? That is their hydro formulation. 6-4-4 is definately for soil/soilless. The hydro formulation if I remember correctly needs more calcium or magnesium. I don't have the label handy. Its micronutrient levels are whacky. Zinc and copper are almost toxic and there is not enough manganese compared to these.

Fox Farm is organic... organic enough anyway. I'm using Grow and Big Bloom. It reads way higher on our TDS meters... the guy at my hydro store said my nutes were way to low... he said to follow the schedule exactly and add Cal-Mag to it. My PPMs read 1300 but technically arent. I also have LK in there and Hygro/Hydro... and I added my 6th BG. Ph is 5.6 - 5.9... rez temps are cool. I think time is what my grow needs.

Thanks for all the replys. Keep checking in!

I'm also going to foiler feed w/grow tonight.

Update - Worse?

Update - Worse?

Ok, these babies seem to be getting worse? Or are they really getting better? That's why I'm here. 4 days ago I cleaned all my buckets and added the bottle recommended strength, Fox Farm Grow, Big Bloom and a little LK. To prevent any root issues I added Hydrogaurd and Hygrozyme, bottle recommended strength. Bringing my PPMs to a total of 1350... just like the Fox Farm Schedule says. I converted it to EC and it's 2.7... I think. My ph starts at 8.2 from the tap... I add my nutes which bring it to a mild 6.5 and then lower with ph lower to 5.8

The ph slowly rises over a 24 hour period, almost a full point usually but today seems to have finally balanced out. Meaning it didn't swing last night!

I heard from my hydro store guy that it will take a good week or so to recover fully from nute def & ph swing. They are 2 weeks and 2 days old... under a 400 watt HPS. My hydrohut temps are good, 70-80 and that's maxed out.

Each plant has at least one single root out of the netpot top, or more.

I put this one right in at 1350PPMs, the rest started at 500.

omfg...I'm no hydro dude ...but your way out of line her bro.......1350 PPM's for that little Baby...your crazy man....she' does't even need 1 EC at this point...

looks like they are not growing at all....do the roots toutch water at all??
Nway try mix up a Full feeding of around 0,6 EC and feed her from the Top untill they are better and recoverd....dont know if it will help but all is better then this imo....

hope its not too late but they are burnt
they should still be on water alone
my last bubblegum grow only needed 700 ppm by the end of veg with a bit of extra mag
take them out of your bubbler and hand water them
if they come back start them in your your buckets at 350 max
have you forgotten that bubblers run at about half nute strength and can even manage to produce well at a third normal hydro nute strengths ,this applies throughout the grow

Actually I didn't know that flipjack. I will do my best to revive these kids tomorrow AM. I ordered a pack of AK-48, cheap but effective.

medgrowr, i agree your nutes are WAY too strong. When my plants are that size, I usually dont even have any nutes added yet, just straight pH adjusted RO water. Start out REAL light, because different strains can require very different EC levels. I've had strains that dont go above EC .6 the entire grow and finished great, no joke. My most recent one went up to EC 1.4, any higher would burn them. When you start out just give them straight water, they'll do just fine for the first week or two. Keep your pH in check then when they get around that size or bigger give it to them real light. I personally wouldn't start with anything above .4 EC, then ease into it slowly, monitoring you ppm levels as they drink each day. If they are rising, the EC is too high, if the EC starts to go down you can add a little more. I can't emphasize enough to bump it up SLOWLY. I've burned so many plants by thinking they can handle a .3 or .4 EC bump and 2-3 days later I start to see them get all messed up. Each time you bump it give it at least 3 days to see how they react.

No offense, but all that shit is your problem. No need for any nutes if they are like a week old seedlings. Christ!! Leave em alone. That is the main problem with most peoples grow, people do too much!! KISS--Keep it simple stupid.

If your last grow was the same and you killed em sooner why are you even bothering with all this food and hydtroton and DWC if you can even get a plant to live past 2 weeks?

My advice is throw all that shit out, get a bag of promix and a bottle of floranova and grow some pot . You are making it way harder then it has to be. Try growing in some dirt first and get a harvest or two under our belt before you go and make things all complicated like you have.

Seriously, throw all that shit out and start over , simple this time. Spending all that money on nutes and equip is a waste when you cant pop a seed. Start with the basics . you gotta crawl before you can walk. Im not trying to make you feel bad, just hoping you can take a step back for a second and see how hard you made it

Dude, lady420 is BV
Core don't listen to his bullshit; the cop strikes again.

Lady 420= he and HE IS A COP

Just to let all the fellow growers know, that BV/LADY420= COP

Want small proof? Check his gallery for lady 420 name, he has the "this is your brain on crack" stuff. We don't mess with crack on these boards, only pot/shrooms for the most part

His grow advice stinks like pot prohibition, he has no grow pics, no grow thread nothing to prove and he tells me he learned all his stuff from college and thinks cannabis is like other plants and is not different, so we are teaching this pig how to grow and I wish he would just go back to his donut eating at his desk job. Y ou know I used to fear you pigs, but once when I got old enough and really seen what you guys were all about, I realized you are nothing more then power hungry trip freaks.
