EDIT: I have had to delete some pictures from this thread in order to make place for the more recent ones, sorry.

Alright guys, finally registered as a member of this great community, although I've been lurking around for quite a while now... Big up all the great work!

This will be my 2nd indoor grow, there are 2 Chronic and 1 Bubblegum (both from clone), and basically.... here it is:

I'm growing in a wardrobe 1.2m wide .55m deep and 1.6m high under a 150W HPS and two 200W Envirolights (2700k warm white red spectrum).
I'm using envirolights as heat would be a mjor problem if i had a more powerful HID.

I'm using 15 L pots with BioBizz All-mix soil, and feeding them the Canna range of nutrients ( Terra Vega/Flores, Rhyzotonic, Cannazym and Bio Boost when the time comes...)

As for ventilation, a have a RVK 100 (227m3/h) to extract the warm air out, a few intake holes on which i mounted small computer fans, and a oscillating fan.

Here are couple of pics of the setup:

My lights on temps fluctuate between 26 and 29 C (soz not sure bout Farenheit :chin: ), and lights off temps are in between 20 and 24C.

The RH is a bit too low for veg (according to what ive read) : about 30 or 40 %... Hopefully this'll be solved by hanging a wet towell in the area.

Ok, now lets have a look at the babies (the two on either side of the cab are Chronic and the middle one is the Bubblegum) :canabis:

These are 8 days into veg from clone (the clones were in a bit of stress when i got them):

After reading a lot on here about LST, I decided to go for it myself, since im going to be flowering with envirolights and all... and i have to say, they are loving it, just take l look at the next pics!

These are 9 days into veg from clone:

Latest pics @ 16 days veg from clone:

:joint:

They've grown much faster than i expected, and the LSting is going great, i think i wont tie them down any more though, think ill just let them grow normally now, theyre already so bushy!
Also, they are starting to stink! Wasn't expecting them to start smelling so early on. Because on the setup and the venting arrangements, im not going to be using a carbon filter but a Vaportek unit (not the Optimum 4000 but the smaller round one).

Anyways, I hope u all enjoy following my grow, any input/advice/comments/critics would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

Nice job in getting your plants to bush out with LST. I'm doing the same & also using those Envitolights for veg. Plants seem to love them.
Good luck the rest of the way.

I don't know much about vaportek's but you should definately get a carbon scrubber, I've got one, and nobody has ever favored against them, I don't know where you are so you probably know better, but this white widow is about 4 weeks into veg., and as soon as I open the door I can smell dank, but with it closed I don't smell anything and it only cost me about $60,

I don't move all of the leaves. I just move the potential bud sites as well as the whole main stalk if it will bend while it's young. Just let the pics do the talking.

I don't favour against carbon filters at all, actually if i could use one I definitely would, i just dont think it suits my setup... here is a sketch of it (lol@art skills):

view from the top

The vaportek im gettin can be found here : http://www.hydroponic-shop.com/product.php?cPath=31_55&product=Air Purifiers

I'm hoping that if i put it in the small room outside the cab it'll work. It's not too much of a problem for now (although they do smell a fair bit), but as soon as they start flowering... :jawdrop:

The only way a carbon filter could work would be to shut all the cab doors to have negative pressure environment, and if i do that, the poor plants'll fry...
I've heard good things about he vaportek 400, so im hoping this smaller one will do the trick (3 plants dont require a machine thats covers 20000sq ft of smell!, at least i hope ;)

Hey CGM thanks for stopping by!
I can't wait 2 see them in flower aswell...
Speaking of which, how much more time in veg do u think i should give them? They are now at 18 days from when i got the clone:

bubblegum:

chronics:

I'm not sure when to flower them coz i dont know how much vertical space i really need, i think theres about 24-27" (inches) left for them till the lights go as far up as they go (having been LSTed, they are in between 6 and 7" now) as you can see on the pics:

Has any one grown these strains before and know how much stretch i can expect during flower? Plus im going to be flowering under these same lights (150W HPS and 2x 200W 2700k Envirolights), is this going to affect the stretching at all?

Thanks

looks nice and healthy to me, a little low on lumens but just do what you feel comfortable with, just keep doing what your doing, and i would just keep it simple. Looking great tho i will watch with much interest

About lumens, ive just done a calculation:
each 200W envirolite gives out 13,500 lumens (according to this: http://www.hydroponic-shop.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_26&products_id=779)
and im no sure about the 150W HPS but it should give out about 20,000 ( a 1000W gives out on average 123,000 lumens)
so that's a total of 47,000 lumens and my grow area is about 6 sq ft which gives me a coverage of roughly 7800 lumens/sq ft... is this correct?
(according to Bluestar in a post on a related board that "The recommended amount of lumens per square foot is 5000-7000.")

Anywayz, think i might give them till saturday in veg, then switch to 12/12,
cant wait to see how they flower under those envirolights (tbh, i was in the Dam in feb and at the Cannabis College, next to the sensi seed shop in the RLD, they had a massive grow show room with 5 plants, 2 of which were NYC diesel under 3x 200W Envirolights and they seemed to be packing it on as much as the ones under 1000W HPS... so i trust good results can be achieved).
Stoneyhucker, I'd be really happy if the yield turned out to be 2oz per plant! The guy who gave me the cuttings said i could expect 3oz from each, but considering its only my 2nd grow, and im using envirolights, im not expecting quite as much... (although even .5g/W would be around 9oz total)

Peace :joint:

it's not the lumens in this case it's the level of penetration
you are on a road towards great harvests

good growing

Thanks man, appreciate it.
Do you think i shoud try scrogging them? would that potentially increase the yield rather than letting them flower as is? Having LSTed them already theyre pretty bushy and would fill up a screen nicely :canabis:
What dya reckon?

Latest update :
here they are at day 19 in 18/6 (from clone):

and again:

biggest chronic:

bubblegum:

smaller chronic thats lagging a bit behind:

and bubblegum LSTed stem:

:joint:

I am planning on switching them to 12/12 on saturday or sunday (3/4 days time), is it ok for me to feed them one more dose of veg nutes tomorrow, and then feed them the terra flores next time they are thirsty (probably once they are a couple of days into flower)?

Thanks guys

cool grow. have you thought about hanging the cfls horizontally? i would recommend hanging them horizontally and then put on some type of reflector, youd really use them cfls to their full potential. Peace

Hey Mak, thanks for the tip, i realized hanging them vertically wastes quite a bit of light, im gonna get a batwing reflector for each of the cfls to fix that, dunno why i didnt get them initially...
Anyway here is an update, i fed them a last blast of veg nutes yesterday, gonna flip them into 12/12 tomorrow, decided against scrogging them, too much effort for this time around, this is the only grow thats gonna be done in this cab, so im not gonna bother modifying it too much. Ill try a scrog next time around in the new location after summer...

here they are:

Now in 12/12

:woohoo:

The gals have just had their first 12h sleep. They were vegged for 23 days from clone in 18/6. I bought reflectors for the cfls today, to make the most of the envirolights and give the plants that little bit more light for flowering, check it out:

and another:

Gave them one last blast of veg nutes yesterday to take them through the stretch, and then ill be giving them Terra Flores, Cannazym, Rhyzotonic, and Bio Boost, all in the Canna range.
Cant wait to see those buds comin!
