greetings out there ...
so i realy don't know if this is the right place for my question ...but ...anyway.... i hawe some seeded buds that i would like to turn intoo hash ( ice hash) ...can anybody tell me will the taste and smell stay or will get lost ??

Since you are only smoking the trichomes, it tastes like bubble hash. Bubble doesn't smoke, or taste, like street hash. Sprinkle some powdered on a bud in a pipe and just pass the flame close enough to heat it while drawing very slowly. It will bubble and soak into the bud. It is then a trick to smoke it without the hash igniting. You can "sandwich" some in a pipe, between two buds, or smoke it in a number of other ways. If you try to smoke it like the hash that you are used to, it will ignite and melt. Be careful. I smoke it every day now. You will be pleased with the finished product, even if it doesn't taste like your buds. Use the stuff from the middle bags and do not press it! Just spoon it out onto a pressing screen on a towel and keep breaking it up as it dries over a few days. Then let it dry on cardboard for a couple of weeks. You don't want moldy hash. The stuff in the first and last bags are good for cooking, or smoking in a pinch. You will get full melt bubble out of one or more of your middle bags. It is very nice. Unlike any hash I ever had and I started smoking 41 years ago. Easy to add it to your smoking routine, but you get a tolerance quickly. I'm going to quit smoking it every day, some day. I like to keep it in powder form, but you can press it after it has dried completely. Enjoy!

You might want to look into the bubble bags with dry ice method. seems way easier, faster, less messy and what appears to be the same quality product. I've never tried this method though.... someone correct me if im wrong......

When making water hash you will lose some of the taste and smell as water-soluble terpenoids and so on will be washed out.

my opinion is.. worthless according to my wife... but here it is anyway..

making hash with bubblebags/water-ice is a PITA.. we use mostly the popcorn buds, and if given a choice of smokin the buds or the hash made from the buds, i'll opt for the buds.. less harsh on the lungs, and i feel its a better/more complex high...

just tried the dry-ice method for the 1st time, and the kif is drying so can't comment on the smoke, but the method of dry ice in the bags and shaking is a much easier clean up then water/ice...

dry ice in 110bag, put in the trim, let sit.. i let it sit for 25/30mins, and shake away over a table... maybe 2-3mins

then i let it sit again for another 20/30mins, shake again... then discard the trim...

Great method,I was amazed at the quantity compared to ice hash,in saying that I still make bubble with the bags.
The dry ice method is alot easier.

imho im not a fan of dry ice i prefeer old water/ice hash but i have never made any just smoked others
