Bubble Hash water used for butter

I made some Bubble Hash and have all this brown water left over that has been filtered to 33 microns. I was partaking in some of that aforementioned hash and got a brainstorm..... I think
I'm thinkin that there must be some goodness left in this brown water and I need water to make butter. After a couple more hits and following the logic that more is always better I decided to evaporate this water by putting it above my lights until it turned into a paste. I evaporated all the water on some of this and smoked as I would hash. Only tried a little, but I did get a bit of a buzz.

So far I have evaporated this water down to a consistensy of a runney paste. I plan to soften some butter and then blend in this paste. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this and what were their results? I have about a cup of the hash paste and was thinking of using an equal amount of butter to start with. I figure I'll start strong and blend more butter in if necessary. Any thoughts on this?

I plan to try this later this evening. I'll let you know how it turns out, but in the mean time I'd appreciate your opinions or thoughts.

After letting the bubble hash water sit in a 5 gallon bucket for two weeks without clarifying, I carefully decanted the water off down to the last half inch using a siphon tube and then allowed that to dry naturally in my basement.

The two weeks worth of settling produced a slime ring, which I vaporized and found it did in fact still contain medication.

The shade of green dried was a clue that it wasn't mostly amber trichomes. Not tasty, not prime and a hell of a lot of work to prove a point though.

I like your butter idea though! In preparing medicals, I try to use guts, feathers, and all, so I hope you will tell us how it turns out.

For instance as Love Potion #9.5 was revealed to me by a not so old in perspective Cajun woman with all her teeth, after drying my plant material and passing it through a sieve, I throw everything left in the sieve, as well as some of the pencils and other lumber into a crock pot full of canola oil to make a topical.

Tastes like Indian ink, but makes me and other patients who have tried it and swear by it, feel more inclined toward kissing when we rub it on whiney snively joint pains and it takes them away.

Since that definitely works, maybe we could fill the hot tub with bubble hash water and bathe in it!

Thanks Gray Wolf.
I'll definately let you know how it works out. Just waiting for a little more to decant, then I'll get started.
Mud baths are suppossed to be good....why not hash baths. haha

i use that water to water my vegging plants...... i think its a great feed........ But i'd never smoke that stinky sludge.... it may make ur butter taste even more like ass! lol

Mind you i re-use the same water, maybe 4-5 times when im making my batches.

Yea Wayzer, that is some nasty smelling stuff at first. After you evaporate it down you are left with a very dark brown flakey material with only a slight smell. When I smoked the dried material it was by no means any kind of quality hash, but back before I had a constant supply I've smoked worse.
Ive been thinking about the taste and I don't think I'm gonna blend it in. I think I'll do it in a crock pot as you normally would. Hey, if it tastes that bad I'll just fill a hot tub with it. haha.

IT'S BUDDAA

IT'S BUDDAA

Here's what I have done.
Mixed 2 Cups of Butter and about 1 Cup of evaporated Bubble Hash Water (the consistency of tomato paste) along with about a cup of water in the crock pot. Smelled alot like ass at this point. Cooked on the "Keep Warm" setting on the crock pot for about 6 hours stiring occassionally (unless you are single do not do this in the house, or you will be in deep dodo with the significant other because of the smell). After it was cooked I put the ceramic pot covered in the freezer overnight. Very little smell after it froze, actually smelled kinda nice...like hash. I then seperated the butter from the water. The butter formed a solid mass at the surface. It came out very easily. There was a bit of brown matter on the bottom of the butter slab. This was cleaned off with a paper towel. At this point the butter had a golden tint with a few brown spots. I let the butter sit out for about two hours, until it was soft. I then put the butter in one of those kitchen aid orbital mixers with a wisk attachment for about 10 minutes. It came out as golden a creamey as I ever would have imagined. Now its back in the fridge. I hope to get some pics tonight if I can borrow a buddies camera. Later this week I plan to make some Penut Butter Dream cookies. I'll be traveling to Denver this weekend so I'm hoping they will make the trip a trip. :woohoo:

So far this looks like a possible way of getting even more goodness from our favorite plant. Its the gift that keeps on giving. I'll let you know how the trip goes. I have more than enough for cookies and was wondering if I can use this like on sandwiches and stuff. Will I still feel the goodness or does it have to be in baked goods?

Good job using guts, feathers, and all! I salute your venturesome nature, but most especially your action in following through with your ideas (aka brain farts).

That puts you in the (pick a number) minority group of risk takers who evolved civilization as we know it, instead of the majority who insured that it survived by sticking to what has worked in the past.

Ostensibly it needs to be heated high and long enough to convert the acids for it to be orally active.

Well Thank You Gray Wolf.
I won't know until this weekend on my way to Denver weather this idea will "evolve civilization" or if it was just another brain fart. I'll be sure to let you know. If nothing else it was fun trying.

Update?

Update?

Hey RepoBob, How about an update on the effects of your experiment? I too have tried the green water left over from bubble hashing. I dont evaporate since you have to add water to the cannabutter anyways, so the green water is the water I add. Seeing that this post is a few months old, have you had the opportunity to refine/ improve upon your butter?

bubble hash water

bubble hash water

I too am convinced there is goodness left in the water. I tried drinking a tall glass of the water straight after making bubble hash :tiphat: and honestly believe I got baked from it

here's my idea:

i tried watering one of my plants with the water left over that had been sitting for a couple days in a gallon jug (smelled FOUL after a day of sitting on my counter)

I think this has serious potential. the plant was fine afterwords and i sometimes smell the foul smell of the water in the nugs...Maybe if I had fed my plants the fresh bubble hash water it would help induce terpene production of better smells without the foul smell?

peace
