Bubble Cloner

Hey Guys,
Quick question about cloneing with a bubble cloner. I built one a few months ago. My question is what makes the stems on my clones turn a 90 degree angle after a day or so in the cloner. The stem pulls it self out of the water until it is paralell with top of water. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help you can give me.

You might get more response in a more appropriate forum but I'd say you don't want the stems in the water but just above the water. Good luck.

You're welcome to post here about organic methods, and a bubble cloner certainly is (unless someone's using synth nutes in the res, which is completely unnecessary), but you'd just get more response in the hydro forum or the general forum.

Bubble cloners rule... I've noticed some of my stems will curl/curve the way you describe. I have no idea why it happens sometimes and not others, but it doesn't seem to affect the clones or rooting times at all.

yeah that twisting has happened to me before. i'm guessing that if they are too wet, it is just a natural reaction. do you use some sort of water heater to keep your clones at optimum cloning temp?

yeah man they curl because of the water once the stem starts 2 uptake all of that oxygen it hardens and straightens out again no worry! i like 2 have them barely touching the water it seems 2 work a lot better . if you've noticed the bubbles cause water 2 explode everywhere i often get hit with a couple dozen drops just by opening up the top!
