Bubble Bags (Ice Water Hash Bags)

Buying a set of Ice Water Hash Bags. I'm Thinking of buying a 5 gallon 220 micron bag to mix my material in, then pouring it through a 1 gallon six or seven bag kit. Then simply place the 1galloj 7 bag kit with hash in a 1 gallon bucket of ice water and let settle to get the different grades of hash.

My thinking in this is, It would be extra wear and tear on my extraction bags mixing with them present in the bucket. It seems like 5 gallon bags are awful big for the amount of trichomes that will be left in the extraction bags underneath. I think you could keep the whole process a lot colder this way as after you mix for 20 minutes in the 5 gallon the water is heating up, then you have to leave it for 30 minutes for the trichomes to separate. If you poured thru the 1 gallon bags and transfered to a fresh ice cold 1 gallon bucket, it would remain ice cold and you could even put it in your refrigerator. Also a 5 gallon premium kit is $350+ where as a 1 gallon premium kit is $150+Does anyone see a problem with this? Anybody see the benefit as I do?

I like the Bubble Bags as the original set looks very sturdy, And you can order individual bags. BubbleMan is also the fuckin Hash King so....

I like the Ice-o-Lator bags for the side wall mesh in the smaller bags, and mesh quality/clean seams.

Both of these seem like they have great customer service and have been around forever, these seem to be the top two in the industry. The bubble bags have a extra bag,and are 40$ cheaper a+ in my book. But the Ice-o-Lator bags look easier to work with/cleaner. What do you guys use? Which would you rather have? BubbleMan what do you think about washing in a 5 gal and Extracting through a 1gal kit? :blowbubbles:

I don't let anything steep, making hash should be quick.
Once the cannabis is full of water the extraction starts to get dirty quick.
My method is stir for 3-5 minutes and drain, remove hash from bags ASAP, clean bags and do next run of extraction. Add ice between runs if needed.
Don't leave your bags hanging, the nets will clog.

quick question... I have approx. 1/2lb of airy, broken buds from various grows over the last 3+years..all is sitting in glass jars..

normally when we trim, we take all the popcorn, freeze it, then use the bags .

should I freeze this stuff b4 putting into the bags...or can I use it as is, just throw it into the bags along with ice/water??
thanks

I would freeze it for 4-5 hours.
Before you hash it smoke-test it, 3 years in a jar might alter the cannabinoid profile drastically.

thanks:tiphat:.. no reason to smoke it, as if I don't make it into hash, it will sit another 2-3 years... toooo many jars with scraps, airy buds...got to get rid of em...

Still I would divide the materials into smokability levels to have some good hash and some lesser hash.
