What are the genetic differences of the two? Where does the sour come from?

although i dont have a pure bubba i do have a pre98 bubba kush pheno of a hybrid cross done. and honestly from smell taste and high normal person would'nt know the difference. chocolot coffe smell and taste i havent herd of the other cross the sourbubba yet right on sound interesting.
the male used in the cross gifted to me was
whitemustang > chem dog x west coast dog BX3
the female pre98 bubba

Kat, there seems to be some confusion as to which strains you are talking about. I'm assuming that by Bubba you mean the clone only Bubba Kush (Chemdog/OG crossed with Old World Paki/bubblegum/whatever) and by Sourbub you mean Bog's Sour Bubble (a select potent pheno of Bog's Bogbubble, but some think there is something else in there besides just Bogbubble). Is this correct?

As for potency, if you can still get sour bubble and bubba kush i say get em both definitely.
They are both potent, and i think it would come down to personal choice.

I swear it said sour bubba but hey i smoke too much pot so i prolly read it wrong.
I liked the Sour Bubble and was more than impressed with the taste and hash made from it. Tasty treats indeed. But I do prefer the Bubba over the Sour Bubble for potency and the flavor. Just my 2 cent worth.

The sour bubble I just grew out is VERY similar to both my bubba (pre98 and katsu) and my so cal master kush. The smell/ taste and the structure is slightly different, but I could defiantelty see them all being closely related. Out of all, the pre 98 is my fav

Ive grown bubba for about a year now,all my friends love it,its very social,a pleasant high.chunky buds,nice smell,hashy,..down to earth kind of bud,love the purple colors,strong indica,..do i need to continue?

Kat I find the sour bubble faster to grow and of course you get a few pheno's to play with, Bubba is a crowd favorit where ever you go, slower vegging but ends up with tighter nugs and probably around the same yield. I would say deffinatly to use carbon scrubber on both. there both worth growing in my book. K krew has been releasing some bubba back cross seeds and grindhouse has the sourbubble bx1.

I just harvested 6 BK's and 6 SB's Today,well not harvested,there dry Today.I have a hard time choosing between the two when smoking,and i know from growing and smoking both that there related,you can just tell.Heres pix of two diff SourBubs and a Bubba.The Purp SB is pretty tastey when done,so its a toss up between those two.Cant grow wrong either way,lol.
