I had no problems with my SFV OG.
I vegged it to about 12 inches, maye ba bit more.
And I ended up with a nice 4 foot plant with tons of nice side branches all with decent buds on them.
The top loooks like it's gonna finish at about 6 inches long and maybe typical kush fattness, which isn't much.
BUt I love the way it grows naturally.
The key is to let it veg for a while.
If you flower too early, you end up with a spindelly little plant that doesn't =yield shit.
But I'll probably try and get a bigger yield by training now that I've read this.
Because if I got a good size plant naturally, I'm sure if I pulled it over and let it branch out alot and then just untie it and let it straighten out.
You'd end up with more of a buch style plant with several tops.
That sounds like what you guys did.
So thats what I'll ltry next also. I've had really good results in the past with that technic of bending and then letting it straighten out after it branches all crazy.
I might have to start doing that to all my plants again.
I'm doing it to a topped Orange Kush rifght now. So we'll see if it does what I expect.
I run my SFV under a 1000 watt HPS anyway.
SO maybe thats the reason for the bigger buds.
Oh she takes alot of food and silicate sugar daddy liquid karma and so on to make a nice strong stock and branches so it can hold the wieght of the buds.
I'll get a pic of my SFV tonight so you all can see what I mean.

yea i lst'd my valley, and ive slowly have let her go back to being straight... The sfv took pretty well to the training, but the 818 cut i have just BLEW UP... Soooo many sites, and soooo bushy, its like too bushy almost, haha.. The ghost cut i have seems like a plant you REALLY have to train, i cant believe how insanely stretchy it is in veg. Honestly 3 times the distance inbetween nodes when compared ot the 818 or sfv...

The bubba is sooooooooo slow and so squat... The pure kush seems to be just as slow as the bubba, almost even slower haha.

anyways, im super excited :D
glad i got all you green thumbs to answer whatever questions may arise.

and jdog, is that sugar daddy liquid karma, similar to sweet leaf?

Sugar daddy is like sweet and liquid karma is sea kelp and all that good stuff that makes organics feed better and helps produce more flowers.
It's also kick as for rooting.
The sugar daddy is more important then the Liquid Karma.
It fattens the stems. And provides sugar for the flowers to explode and swell with resin.
silicate is also important.
Silicate makes for nice strong branches and stocks and helps it threw any drought or heat or cold.

I have this one plant right now jaws but every so often out of all the normal looking leafs I get one that looks very odd I will get a pic up of it. It's just that it is so lanky it's hard to tell where is the best place to clip or train. Definately not gonna rush her into flower until I think she is ready to put out. I'll get her, maybe not this run but gimme one or two times and she is mine.

I am just very happy that I am able to grow them.

maybe the stretchiness is just showing its sativa genetics....

do you use enhancers or additives such as superthrive or nitrozyme?

:ying: kind regards from guineapig :ying:

Hey GP thanks for stopping by. No I do not use any such enhancers on her. It's not that she is streachy as much as she just does not have much vegitation compared to other plants.

hello big :joint:
ya brother i know what my misstakes were and if i get around to trying her again I WONT MAKE THEM AGAIN......

i grew some S1bubbas along side some S1ogers when they were first relised, a lot of ppl did not like them they had bad germ rates and males popping up and hermies to boot.....i had hardly any bad things to say about either one, i found them quite nice very solid nuggies and pretty decent smoke to boot...

i liked them enough to make my own seeds from them, i made double ogers and some bubbas....

BIG i hope you have a killer grow with your S1 and i hope you like the smoke as much as i did/do...
peace bro :joint:

Yeah, well the way I see it the bud is sooo controversial, its gotta be something special, I figured hey its gotta be something worth my time....i get kush but no bubba kush, sooo i am not sure what to expect.....Outdoors do you know how it would turn out? Becuase I can do indoor but I want a bigger yield but I dont want to sacrifice quality at the same time. Big smoke

Damn Mo, your doing a hell of a job with her, especially for a first run  Any specifics youve noticed during this run? Heavy/Light feeder? Stretch?

Thanks again bro, take care and stay safe :D

Nice Bubba Pic everyone :yummy:

Thanks guerilla1018  Naa man nothing specific really. She is pretty easy to grow. Easier than the Garberville to me. She actually can handle things better than most. I have been working with the lucas formula in Coco and was having all the known problems that can arise with coco. This plant took it in stride, while the Garberville showed all the def's associated with coco. I have since adopted Mr.G's modified lucas and things are looking much better already. Props to Mr.G for the leg work ... So far it's working great. Although the Garberville hasn't changed much. May not run her again .. depends on the smoke I guess.

Take Care Bro. I'll hit you up when I get to 50 posts. Can't use my PM.

Thanks to all for stopping by. Will post up more as she progresses.

Hello Mo  your Bubba is looking tooo sweet mon :woohoo: I have to aggree with you on your analogy on the nute issues with the "garberville pkush" verse the Bubba. Me personally arent impressed at all with the pkush as a plant or the smoke at this point. jaykush says give it a 2 month cure for it to show her stuff, but IMO its shouldnt take that long but I will wait and see. The Bubba on the other hand seems to take the nutes well, I wouldnt mine giving her another grow but on her own and not mixed with other strains on the same e&f tray.
