i don't know who coined the term pre98 bubba so i dont know what they are talking bout, but the "old school" bubba i know im pretty sure is the same as the green pheno

like i said guys, i COINED the terms pre98 and pre2k1.....i think i would know what i'm talking about. no one ever used those terms before I made them up. unless you got your "pre 98" from me, then its not pre98

the bubbas never had names given to them before i did my test. the mint aka eckush s1, "pre98" aka tahoe, pre2k1 aka orgn/katsu, and purple bubba from up in the hills in the valley (the yielding club-headed bubba cut) were the four i was running.

i decided to keep as i termed it the "pre98"...with the main reason being the integrity of the person i got it from and it suiting my palate best. they were all of equal quality except for the purple bubba which lacked in flavor until a good 2-3 month cure.

mysterx, if you have the "katsu" and your "pre98" aka the one jimmy put up bubba, side by side and they are not the same, then something is up. your katsu cut isn't the same as katsu's original. b/c the pics jimmy put up are SPOT ON for the katsu cut with the calyx structure being the main difference between my "pre98" and your "pre98" aka pre2k1 IMO. either way, right on, no biggie, im sure they are dank.

i'm just trying to keep the terminology correct here guys..no disrespect intended at all. and fwiw, the pre98 is what dusty showed that IGT grew, and is not the same as the pre2k1 or swerve's labeled "pre98" that looks exactly like the "pre2k1" aka katsu....

i just think it's f&^%ked up >>>what BS

The ones that were accidentally given out as freebs a couple months ago were from Orgnkid. Some would say they are very good, some disagree. They were going at auction for anywhere from 100-300 averadge, so they are indeed a gift to get for free. If it was something else then I don't know anything about them....

now, go back to the thread and read three or four more post down and find my next post where i say i do know where the pre98 terming came from. (after i talked to a friend of mine) I originally called the pre98, the pre2k1 b/c i had been told, at that time, that the two orgnkid cuts i had were popped from bean in 2k1, making those the 2k1's. Thus, making the other bubba my buddy got in 98, the pre2k1. B/c it had a known history of being alive before 2k1.

pre98 was just a term that came up after all the old threads at CW trying to get the bubba story right and with dates/years. So i forgot (can ya blame me, i smoke like a damn chimney) that i didn't coin pre98 but that someone had infered that from the old threads and got the 1998 bubba date mixed with the cali mist moniker of pre98....Either way, pre98 is referring to the particular cut Nspecta and I talk about..
