Bubba Kush breeders

Big fan of the strain. Over the past year or so I've been trying to learn as much as I can about breeding. Most people don't realize what a huge task it really is! Bubba kush is definately in the top 3 of my favorites and if I ever do decide to dive into breeding, Bubba will definately be used as one of the subjects.

Just wondering what kinds of strains have been crossed with Bubba successfully. From what I hear, both MK Ultra and Kushage suck ass and both had og kush in it. Would one have to cross different phenos of og, bubba, etc. kush to still retain that kush quality and taste? I'm mainly looking for a new flavor or maybe stroger high. I don't really mind the low yields from kush strains because quality is the main goal here. Any thoughts?

dsd -- the cross worked but the low yields still curse the line.

thank you so much for the pics its nice to see them!

im reversing a bubba now that will hit this dsd f-3 i made
from REZs dsd v2s (that seriously has been THE best 30 i ever spent)
anyhow its a nice yeilding girl and bubba was the female in the creation of the cross now ill use her as the dad maybye increase yields.

buy a cross to a non-dominant indica or whatever really, or selfed bubba kush, and grow-out a LOT of seed (multiple packs, at once, if possible) you will eventually find a plant exactly like bubba, maybe even better yielding. good luck. my advice? grow.

there is really no point in doing this.
you have f3 stock? want a cross with the BK? find a juicy male or 3 and collect some pollen to hit up the Bubba girl. reversing the clone to hit up more bubba in an effort to make pure bubba seed to find a better yielding (or whatever) mom, is the only real reason you would want to do that.
many/most 'elite' clones originate from hermie pollen. why would you want to go and increase those chances of herm ten fold by selfing? it just doesnt make sense unless you want to
A. carry on a line in pure form with no males present
B. by accident.
thats all.
multihybrids like bubba kush and most other commercially available strains will throw all sorts of curveballs at you once you open up the pandoras box of making seed with them. its a diceroll as to what you will get the next generation with a clone only strain with unknown lineage. stick to conventional breeding technique (standard seeds) whenever possible.
reversing a female is a tool, and is to be used wisely, in certain instances only, imhfo
:)

the reason im doing this is to combine my bubba f x dsd male
with it. i have f-3 dsds and diesel kush f-1s mf
so i can sorta recreate the original cross
and use my male fem diesel kush to make it a mf line.
also the other reason is caus3e i want bubba s-1s and i had a great times with 3cz
s-1 which were made the same way with sts.

peace

If I wanted to use Bubba or OG as a male, what would be my best option? Stress a female to turn male or to pop some seeds and hope for a male?

cap , kushedout whats up guys,
i figure it this way

stress hermies breed hermie plants.
thats a given however i have grown over 50
"STS" plants and ive run into the same hermie ratio
as i get with normal seed "very rare".

the problem seems to be yield.
but i think that may be due to the fact that all s-1 seeds i grew were from low yielding clones.

so kushed out id use STS if you want female seeds or
get you a nice stud from gypsy if you dont want all females.
anyone grow STS seeds that turned out bad? im still learning here too so i cant say sts is the gospel but i am impressed with the results as of yet.
