Bubba Kush..another go

G

Guest

heres some shots of Bubba, originates with katsu. had this plant a year or so ago and let it go as i couldnt get a good run with it in my spot.

recently got it back to try and get a decent grow with it, as i didnt give it a good chance last time.

turned out much better this go, and should be what most say it is. 32 inch plant, that was vegged for 70 days.

less then a week left, shes 9wks and a few days(i miss labled the pics)

plenty frosty

Nice Bubba.
Looks frosty as hell.
Speaking of dialing in Bubba(also OG)
I've found the best way to feed them is in the soil.
Use some fruit n flower mixed into the soil for the best flavor.
It went from a earthy coffee dominant smell and taste.
To a dank minty OG chem coffee Kush taste.Such a huge difference.
Same deal with OG Kush.
I was top feeding them in a soilless mix.
But not anymore.
The rest of my plants liked being top fed(but I can tell it's more stressful for them), but not the Kush's.
They must obsorb alot of nutes from the initial waterings of them.
They need to be in control of the amount of food they get.
Thats just my experience with these strains.

Beautiful Bubba brother!!! :woohoo: Mine looked exactly the same, just much shorter 19" (not enough veg). I can almost smell her from here...

Yes Raskal thats the Katsu Clone same one your holding...

I told ya she was worth another run CBF..

Shes like the sour in the sense that she has to be done up proper to get its full representation..

Seems to me she will be really really nice for ya this time around :)

Doesnt do well as the big bush in terms of yield... Likes either main cola with a ton of pruning or topped...

Let me know how she is this time compared to the first run

You got a great amount of stretch for katsu's, i haven't seen her put so much space in between the nodes before.

Looks great tho, I'm sure you'll find her a worthy keeper once you get a proper run on her.. She's definately one of my top 3, #1 without the slow veg and slightly below average yeild.

Lookin' forward to yer smoke report bro, and more shotz of yer durty girl of course

Here's a 27" (measured from medium) katsu Bubba I just put into flower a few days ago. She got another few days veg after these pics, and was 29" went she hit 12/12.. She had it pretty rough in early veg, but I got her 99% healthy before i decided to flower her. She's still in the 2 gal pot, so we'll see how big she ends up and how well she does while rootbound.. I woulda vegged her a lil bigger and put her in a 5 gal, but I got a 2 dif Bubbas in DWC right now, and they're starting to really take off. So hopefully this lil plant will get me thru and i won't run outa bubba nugs.. I'm hoping to pull 2 oz of this girl, which would be incredible for Bubba in a 2 gal.

Yeah CBF! Great job on her! I like to pistlwhip em, veg the hell out of them, use backbreaking amounts of soil, and nail them with nutes (not in early veg though). C02 and foliar feeding gets them huge in veg. Is katsu's cut the same as 98 bubba cut (they look similar) ?

Hey sbz  from talking to many bubba growers/lovers and tracing back the katsu cut, I'm almost 100% sure that katsu, green, and pre2k1 (aka pre'98, pre2k1 is technicaly correct but it's a common mistake) are all the same 'original' Bubba..

The above info took me alot of time to confirm/research. I literaly looked thru 100s and 100s of Bubba pics and tons of threads, talked to tons of different growers and bubba junkies..

It may not be 100% right, but I've yet to have someone challenge me on that info.

I'll only be completely positive if I can grow katsu, green and pre2k1 together in the same conditons at the same time.. With that being said I'm fairly confident, and welcome anyone to show/prove me wrong.

bottom line... bubba is bubbalicious :yummy:

hey all thanks for the props, and commin by to check out this plant.

raskal, the very same plant, brother i got it from had held on to it and he hooked me up with it again. this cut came from SBZ sometime ago, 2yrs or more now. havent smoked Bubba in well over a year now, and took better care of this plant this go. so should turn out pretty good this time, actually a much better grower, least in my mind, then back then.

beancounter, hey Bro, this is the cut i had told ya about over at PG. you can see the purp goin on, as i said its not a solid purp plant but plenty of color, even in the buds at finish

as for the stretch...i wonder that myself, as i always here Bubba dont stretch, and im thinkin what Bubba you growin, lol.

the stretch might have somethin to do with my OP, as we veg under fluros, flower under a 400hps. seein how the Kush threads are always "that aint so and so" "mine dont look like that" and so on, just goes to show that the phenotype (physical appearance)of most any plant can look slightly different then the same in another grow. have read numerous times that Bubba is well known for this as well.

as far as i know this cut was called Katsus purple bubba when i first got hold of it. the pre98/2001 and such i dont really know the diff.

thanks again all,
CBF
