Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
it is a clone
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
no
Are plant's infected with pest's?
no
I am wondering if it is because my plant sits so low in my net pot and didn't get airflow properly? Today I mounted my circulation fan on the wall so it would blow sideways on all plants, instead of blowing up toward my 85W light to keep my large cheese clone from being burned from the light. I also wanted to know if it was from spraying the b1 on the leaves? I've never had a problem like this yet, but this is the first time I have used B1 or planted a clone so low in a net pot (I am short on space in my cab!). Anyway, I had it for a few days and sprayed it every 6 hours, until last night when I placed it into the 2 gallon DWC bucket with 5.6PH water and the 2 airstones.
Sorry for the long post but I figured I would give as much detail and hopefully one of you growing guru's (I had learned a lot from reading many of your posts but am a noob myself) could help me out! Save the Sweet Tooth! Thanks
That is a phosphorus lockout caused by cooler temps, also known as color changing when it involves your situation.
You should raise the temps at night no colder then 70F
Colder temps slows down the transportation and absorption of phosphorus, this is why you see color changing strains when it comes out due to environmental factors.
Also give up the B1, this should only be used as an add on once in a while... you need a complete fert as your lpants are going to get hungry....
Why are you not using different nutes?
What brand is that B1?
I am sure the purpling is also caused by lack of nutes too, colder temps slow plants down so one reason why it's not showing as bad as it should be.
Hello!
When I am sure it can take it, I use Fox Farms Grow Big during Veg, Big Bloom 1/2 into veg and in flowering, and Tiger Bloom in flowering. I use Cal/Mag in veg and flower since i use R/O water. I am thinking about buying the 3 pack of FF soluables (Cha-ching and all that) for flowering as well, anyone have inout on if it's a good idea? This is the farthest I have gone in a grow, so I am learning as I go so far....
The B1 was bought at a hardware store, it's 0-2-0 and has Yucca extract? The brand is Liquinox.
At what point can you start giving a clone nutes? I thought i should wait until it had some decent roots showing before i gave it 1/2 str nutes then ease it up weekly from there. I am doing this all in a cabinet, so I am trying to keep my veg times low and will be switching to a SOG. I'm not sure if any of that makes a difference or not, but I'm highly medicated atm so I may be rambling, lol. Anyway, thanks for the advice
Should I also mention that I have a cheese clone and a blue cheese clone that are both further along and do not have these problems? They are both healthy except for a little browning I have on a small portion of the roots in my cheese clone DWC bucket.
Here is a picture of the Sweet tooth clone, I thought the leaves maybe couldnt get airflow because of how low they were?
Here are the roots to my vegging cheese clone #2 that needs to get into my flower chamber before she gets too tall:
Do you own a ppm/ec meter or commonly known as TDS pen?
In hydro once a plant has roots you are supposed to keep a certain amount of nutes in the setup, you go by the size of the plant when determing how to feed..... I would get a pen if I were you, because when you need to top off put more nutes in the system you won't know how much the plant has taken out and you could very well end up burning them.
The reason why one is like this and not the other, is because all strains are different in terms of care, that is why you are seeing this and since you have 2 strains in the setup your going to be in conflict with what plant needs more or less...... you may burn one plant and the other one wants more nutes and you really can't fix that unless you remove it from the setup.
Hello again, thanks for the replies! Yes I own a TDS meter but it is going crazy! It keeps telling me error when I put it in solution or try to calibrate it.... I will replace the batteries this week after payday. Also, each plant is in a seperate DWC bucket, with it's own nutes and everything. I have each plant in different buckets so if there is a problem with one it wont go to others, and I also place them in my flowering chamber staggered because I am trying to do a small perpetual crop.
Anyway, I read your thread about what happened to you and your situation.... I feel for you and I hope someday our country will wake up and worry about the real criminals in the world.... Shit, I can no longer get Financial Aid from the fed's because I got caught smoking a joint in a park a few years ago..... Maybe someday the system will make sense and not persecute people who aren't harming anyone else..... We can hope, right?
I moved to Cali since that incident and was greatly surprised to see how much more open they are out here about herb, and how much more open-minded people are in general here.... So move to Cali and you can grow again! I'll be picking up your book this week as well, and thanks again for the help.
