Looks a lot like calcium...... need more information though can you fill this out please? Also take a picture of the plant that is affected and shows it on the plant, i know you said top... but sometimes there is miscommunication as to where it is affected.

HYDROPONICS/Aero Ponics

How long has this problem been going on?
What system are you running? (DWC? Ebb flow? Aero? Water Farm? Flood Tables? and so on...)
What STRAIN are you growing?
What was the establishing technique? (Were the seed or clone?)
What is the age of your plants?
How tall are the plants?
What PHASE are the plants in? (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?
What Technique are you using?
What substrate/medium are you using?(Hydroton, RockWool etc.)
What is the Water temperature?
What color are your roots? White? Brown? Are your roots slimy?
What Nutrient's are you using? How much of each if using multiple?
What is the TDS/EC/PPM you are using?
What is the pH of the "Tank"?
Are you sure your calibration is correct on your equiptment?
When was your last watering?
What is your water temps?
When was your last feeding change? (ie. grow-bloom-micro-additional)
How often do you clean your system: example: Flush out water replace with clean water and nutrients?
What size bulb are you using?
What is the distance to the canopy?
What is your RH Factor(Relative Humidity)?
What is the canopy temperature?
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include flucutaion range)
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned off of or pinched
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so, What and When?
Are plant's infected with pest's

How long has this problem been going on? dunno
What system are you running? DWC? E
What STRAIN are you growing? Endless Sky
What was the establishing technique? seed
What is the age of your plants? 8.5 week of flowering
How tall are the plants? 2.5 ft
What PHASE are the plants in? flower
What Technique are you using? What does that mean?
What substrate/medium are you using? Hydroton,
What is the Water temperature? dunno, prob low to mid 70s
What color are your roots? White? Brown? both slimy? no
What Nutrient's are you using? CUrrently flushing
What is the TDS/EC/PPM you are using? was ~950
What is the pH of the "Tank"? was ~6, no `8.5+ (unPHed tap water)
Are you sure your calibration is correct on your equiptment? no, but prob is
When was your last watering? constant (DWC)
What is your water temps? again, prob low to mid 70s
When was your last feeding change? been flushing for about a week so far
How often do you clean your system: example: every week or two
What size bulb are you using? 400w HPS
What is the distance to the canopy? 6-8 inches
What is your RH Factor(Relative Humidity)? 30%
What is the canopy temperature? 77F
What is the Day/Night Temp? 77F-80F
What is the current Air Flow? 230 CFM In, unknown out (bathroom exhaust fan)
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? sort of
Is your water HARD or SOFT? dunno, 275ppms Maybe hard but not too hard. My house has a water softener from the previous occupants but its not hooked up.
What water are you using? Tap
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned off of or pinched NO, but it was pruned right before the syndrome occured
Have any pest chemicals been used? no
Are plant's infected with pest's no

the problem stopped progressing shortly after I started this thread, I thought it was nute burn because it happened shortly after I did a res change and removed some fan leaves to let light in to the lower buds. I'm using tap water so i thought that my Cal/mag/iron was taken care of, i have some of that calmag thought if its still nessisiary, let me know, because i'd like to have that info for my next cycle. Is cal mag still nessisary with tap water?

here are some recent pics

It won't make you feel ANY better but I am having the exact same problem, I think, Illadelph. In fact, I just started a thread tonight on what appears to be the same symptoms. My plants are also in a DWC system (14 hole tray on top of two reservoirs that continually circulate 25 gallons of nutes). I am also on city water and have been thinking calcium or magnesium but resisting because it's urban tap water and they should be covered. (There is a lot of salt in the water, due to road salt in the city reservoirs...I don't know if that can cause a lock out or not.

I'm using PBP Grow and Liquid Karma. My plants are only 2 1/2 weeks under 12/12 and I just switched the nute solution. I've been feeding them less than the recommended amount because I also thought it might have been nute burn. In part because the affected leaves are curling under and because the ppm seems to be rising (along with the pH...I don't let it get over 5.9, however). My lower and middle leaves are affected.

SO...I'll be following this carefully. Very carefully.

From here it sure looks and reads like its time to just chop this run illadelph.
You've been clearing them for a week & a half so at this point they're only going to decline, while being exposed to a high risk of developing bud rot in those chunky colas. It can happen overnight man.

Endless sky problems

Endless sky problems

I'm having same issues with this strain as is my buddy whom I got my original cuts from. In any one grow cycle its the only strain that develops this brown spot type symptom I think there might be a genetic issue at play here I to thought calcium or mag but my other 4 strains don't show this at all I seem to see quite a few people with similar prob with the ES . Anyone had a chance to Email DR green thumb to see if there is a known issue and possible solution to this . It does not really seem to affect growth budding or output/quality but it is annoying not being able to find what the cause is. I'm using EBB N flow system 2 1000,s HPS and GH nutes .
any new news would be great.
Thank all

one more thing I am starting with RO and using aggressive growth formula
also my Buddie up north is using well water and hes at 100 ppm to start before adding nutes we were thinking since we both are starting with almost perfect water this strain may like more cal/mag than other strains and the straight nute solution is not providing enough as I said before it's only happening to this strain . Ive been using GH for almost 20 years and never have had an issue like this.

10K, You really think so? Its been like 3 weeks since the syndrome stopped spreading. My humidity isn't that bad. I was gunna let em finish completely. Scary thought though about the bud rot.

Maybe it is cal mag like some of you suggested. Comforting to know i'm not the only one having this problem. Ya, I originally thought cal mag, or that this strain is very nute sensitive.

Zoom, in regards to contacting green thumb, i've done it before when an order of mine took like 6 weeks to arrive, he was a huge dick and hung up on me. Hope we can figure this out beause i plan on growing this strain more in the future.
