CALIFORNIA INDICA

Bros Grimm got so many requests for a good "couch-lock" Indica that we decided to test a pure Indica cross. We grew out a large sample group - these are the type of plants one might see a picture of in the dictionary under the definition of "Indica". Dark green, broad leaves, short stature, thick stalks and heavily branched...this pure strain produces heavy buds with a NARCOTIC stone.

Flowering: 60 days
Height: 3 ft
Yield: 1-2 oz/ft2 using SOG.

here's a grow report from someone........

I grew this strain from m/f seeds purchased at HS. They were vigorous growers in veg and flower, and gave very few problems along the way. 4 seeds were started, 3 females and 1 male from the batch. The male was discarded as I was just looking for smokables on this grow. 2 of the 3 females were very squat, with about 3/4" internode spacing, and very good branching. Plants were vegged for 6 weeks, then put into flower. Plants showed sex around week 5 by the way. These plants (the 2 squat females) hardly stretched in flowering, although the branches did stretch a bit. Flowering was fast and vigorous as well, showing nice bud formations at 3 weeks, and beginning to reek up the place! If you have odor concerns with your security, measures should be taken to keep the smell down. Very pungent weed in grow and smoke! Plants were done in 53 days, and were some of the resiniest buds I have produced to this day. Great for bubble hash, this is a leafy strain, but the leaves accompanying the buds are covered in trichomes, so you have the option of leaving them on. Super dense buds, care must be taken to keep the air moving in flowering, as the combination of bud density and heavy resin content make these a candidate for mold. All in all, a very solid indica, not a lot of yield, although a longer veg time may improve your yields. Recommended highly for body pain, arthritis, etc., don't smoke too much too early as the high is extreme couchlock, with no cerebral effect whatsoever! Garden Information for this report Bloom Wattage Used: 410w to 1000w Average Plant Height: 24 Plants per Sq. Foot: 1.00 Average Yield per Plant: 1.00 Pruning or Plant Style: Bush Fertilization Method: Not Listed Seed germination went 4 for 4 with these, quick germers, and rapid, squat growth under 160w of fluoros. Given Start Right at 1/2 strength the first few waterings to promote rapid root growth. After 16 days they were transplanted from 6" pots to 2 gallon pots using Pro mix Bx soil, and fed 1/2 strength seabird guano tea at a ratio of about 5 - 2 - 1 for the first week or 2, then shifted to full strength (10 - 5 - 2) for the remainder of veg. For the 1st weeks of flowering, a High P mix was used along with the veg nutes, then just High P mix at about 3-10-1 til 2 weeks before harvest, then just pure water for the last 2 weeks (along with EJC the first flush). I grew indoors under a 430w Son Agro HPS in a 4' x 5' area, painting the walls white w/mildicide paint to disourage PM. 2 oscillating fans on opposite sides of the room to keep the air flowing as well. The hood was sealed w/glass, and a 465 cfm exhaust fan attached to get rid of the heat from the bulb. Temps averaged about 80-82 F during the day, about 70-72 at night. Nutes were hand administered using the tea style method, all organic save the Start Right in early veg. Plants were elevated off the cold cement floor to prevent any mold problems in the root area. All in all, a good solid indica with a great couchlock buzz, nothing special on the flavor, great bubble hash strain, but generally not a big yielder.

Will be looking forward to seeing what you do with the CI CBF. Never seen a grow of it. Good luck with it.
