This is a Hydrofarm regulator with electronic solenoid and flow/ball tube valve thing. When I was moving a few years ago I dropped it :yoinks:

This is what it looks like now..

and this is the broken flow/ball tube valve thing. This outer plastic shell is definitely broken, but the inside appears to be floating through the bottom with a rubber washer type deal? i'm not sure. Is this single component of the unit replaceable? The solenoid and main regulator worked perfectly before the.... incident..

I can't get the pictures to upload from this site.. What did I do wrong? I dragged and dropped, I even tried using the image function with the URL but nothing..

I wouldn't try and fix it ..its just a floating regulator with barb hose end ..you have the most expensive part
the reg and solenoid are $$..hell if ya cant fix it PM me..

I would think a regulator from some kind of co2 device forum be adaptable to that

this might get ya goin if you really want to go for the floating type meter

i would prollyt just find a dial gauge that goes at 10-30 psi..I dont think that a barbed end as opposed to a threaded end would matter for runnin hose out

you basically have this set up cept you have the solenoid and a floating flow gauge
this a dial guage ..floating gauge is prooly a bit more percise..but for your application im not sure it matters

hers a thougt and Im not sure
IDK
if you are running a co2 monitoring system and the solenoid opens and closes just set the main valve at say 15 psi and get a male threaded elbow clamp the hose on one and do away with the flow meter ..

IMO the co2 meter willo turn it off at the appropratie time ??

I'm bad with plumbing and this type of work.

So I dont have to go back to hydrofarm for this part, I can get some other type of meter like one of the ones you pictured?

Is it just like, a more precise valve then the main one, but they both work the same basically?

Also, since i'm at it, do you know what would cause something to explode in my face due to pressure? I'm always afraid to death of opening up that main valve like the screw will shoot out at my neck or the reg will blow off or the gauge's will burst lol.. I'm literally terrified every time I go to open it up..

But anways thanks for the help! I'm going to try and source a cheap replacement for the flow meter, like that last one you pictured..

LOL just make sure when you go to remove anything from the tank that you bleed off any residual pressure..

sometimes there is a pop ..

the cheapo model ya see above is from harbor freight..
you might need some kind of adapter . IIRC those are 1/4" npt threads

any welding shop could prolly fix ya up for $$

heres one prooly work
