Brittle stems on otherwise healthy plants?

Ive been noticing this on my plants lately. While they look nice and plush, while deleafing it seemed odd how easy it was to snap off leaves, same for snapping off lower branches, my plants never were this brittle before. I been vegging in maxi grow, any correlation with the 2? Dont want to start flower and find out something is a miss and it be too late...any help/experience appreciated!

Once I had a problem where leaf stems would easily separate from the stem of the plant.
Green leaves if bump would fall.
It turned out that it was a K deficiency.
Do you know that rice hulls have a 19% potassium silicate ratio.
The highest in the plant world.
But do take some time to break down.

You know just because K is in the mix does not mean it is available for uptake.
K competes with both Cal. & Mag. as well as Na. and NH4+for uptake and a place on the CEC and k is also very soluble.
Being these are all cations noticed that K only has 1 electron while Ca. Mg. both have 2 while NH4+ has 4 making these cation all with a stronger bond .
Know also that Potassium is very salty.
While K is not a constituent of any plant structures or compounds, it plays a part in many important regulatory roles in the plant.
It is essential in nearly all processes needed to sustain plant growth.
It is know to activate at least 60 enzymes involved in plant growth.
Potassium helps move nitrate nitrogen into and within the plant.
Potassium stimulates nitrate uptake by plant roots.
K deficiency first shows by purple strips running up the stems and also leaf edges yellow then to brow or gray.
If you see leaf edges burning know that this is a K deficiency!
Just thought that being we were talking about K.

Not getting any red stripes or signs of k deficiency, in fact the plants looks about as healthy as plants can get. Maybe Ill try some agsil16h anyway n see wut it do.

That would suck if thats the case. I have plenty of chitosan from china, plus i mix crab meal in my coco which contains chito, and i thought chito prevented/ got rid of stem nematodes?

If you take clones from clone vendors... it was just a matter of time... Chitosan only works after many weeks of use in isolation from all other infected plants.. take some pics of these gals.. lets see what your going up against

I just ran into something similar. I multi top over and over, and a bunch of my 'Y' joints have turned into 'V' stem splits. For me it was simply too much bio silicon.
