Let me start out by saying that Im concerned at the direction in which the cannabis dispersal game (for lack of a better euphemism) is headed. Concerned yes, but not hopeless. Come with me to the midwest, the heartland of america, where everything is good and great. The snow is high (as well as me), the people are simple (for the most part) but most importantly the buds are good, plenty, and the dealers aren't shady.
I wish I could say the latter portion of that statement were true, but the reality of the situation will disgust any liberal minded connoisseur type (I wonder if that applies to anyone here...hahaha). I started "helping out friends" (fuck "dealing", I hate that term, "dealing" is something you do standing on the corner of a busy intersection askin foo's if the need work!) mid-summer of 2006 after one of my co-workers suggested it, and as I got more and more involved I realized the people running the "game" were very dishonest and more business driven than anything. No respect the beautiful plant that they were blessed to posses for the time being, it reminded me of a pimp only concerned with the well-being of his pocket and street cred. Smushed buds, 400 dollar ozs of non cured, half shake, short bags and multiple jackings. These are just some of the things Ive dealt with in the past half year. Now there are the young up and comers that have learned about buds from watching BET and talking with their "homies" and are going to end up ten times worse than the people I described earlier.
All I wish to do is to bring a little civility and ethics to the mainstream (but still underground of course) canna-scene. If people like those of you (and me) on IC could teach by example I think that would have quite the adverse effect. I know many of you, would like to just cut yourselves off and become self- suffiecient (trust me im the same way), but that only helps the problem and helps the anti-legalization cause (if you think about it). So what I ask of you ICers is a little help, open your mind, release the anger, and start moving foreward (instead of upwards...hahaha).
