Alright, 1 week 2 days old, approx, The 2 small leaves are a bright yellow, and the next 2 are very droopy... Im not sure if I over watered them, I water once ever 2-3 days, or if the soil gets very very dry.. I water it again... I noticed a small amount of yellowing yesterday, so I watered them... then this morning they were much yellower.

Here is a pic, I can get more if you guys want more.... please plaes help :D I dont wanna lose my baby so early lol

Check for bugs on the under side of the leaves. Little brown spots stuck to the under side of the leaves. May be root rot too. May just need some nutes, Nitrogen. Could be a pH with the soil issue. So many variables. Try the infirmary too.
Best of luck.
Peace

Im going to aim more towards a PH issue... I havent been checking the water lately (been really busy) Checked for any spots and the leafs seem fine. Im wondering if I should replant it in different soil? Just a question on that part, would I have to wash the roots clean? Or could that cause me alot more prolbmes?

I have read through the infirmary, extremely usefull... Just wanted to get a few seconds opinions with a picture.. It hasent spread upwards yet.. Ill wait and see what happens tomorrow.

you should cut back on watering so often, and its natural for the cotyledons (the little round leaves) to get yellow and fall off. when the first real leaves start yellowing you know its time to start feeding the plant.

Well, you haven't said what you are currently growing in. But, you can always transplant into a real nice soil like Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Just add a handful of perlite to the mix. If your plant doesn't like what it's growing in right now, it will surely like the FFOF and just take right off for ya!!

Good luck!

When you see the cotyledons (first leaves formed) turing yellow, that is a good sign your seedling is hungry. Nutrients move from the bottom leaves into the upper leaves as they grow. Don't make the fertilizer water very strong until they get bigger. What's up with that soil mix? Looks like something from Mars surface. lol.

Duh, didn't catch the 2 round leaves were the yellow ones. Duh. :bat: Still looks like your ready for some 1/4 to 1/2 strength nute mixes.

lol Sorry, I smoked a bowl after the first post and forgot I added a picture. Uhmm the soil, Its a mix I got from Walmart, Im unsure of the name, It was a small bag, enough for 2-3 pots... Unfortunatly I threw out the bag... Ill have to get some FFOF next time im out. Thanks for the advice on soil and what not, Ill change it tomorrow.

Guys.. They are dying because, its probably getting into a veg state or they arent getting any light because they are shaded by the leafs above it.
I see nothing wrong with it.
What kind of lights are it under?

Like for most of the examples you guys gave really dont identify anything and really would set him off base.
I hate to be rude but its true..

PH problem.. that would mean it would have mutated shitty looking growth.. and that it wouldnt uptake nutes.
It looks plenty healthy and green and no signs of stress or mutation.

Mites.. There doesnt look like theres mites.. Why is it always mites.. Ya maybe you should check for them.. But dont automatically say that.. People get paranoid..

And a nute problem.. Well the other leaves look healthy and VERY green.
In that small of a plant, it will pretty much all be affected.
Thusly if those are yellow meaning maybe a nitrogen defic. then the others would be paler green. But they aren't.

Alltogether DOOOD dont worry. It looks awesome so far. And if you want to worry about it, do some nute at like an 1/8 strength.

I'd check the PH level first, and make sure that's within range. I hate to call you out, Tweako, but my plants have never looked mutated or shitty with a bad PH balance---they looked horribly burnt at the worst, yellow & droopy at best.

If you're in the US and have a Wal-Mart nearby, or somewhere else that carries this in the pool section---Aqua Chem pool strips. Tests for PH, bromine, chlorine, hardness, etc. A very handy, helpful test strip. Costs about $10 or so for a pack of 50 strips. I'd shoot for a PH between 6.3 & 6.9, and try to steady it around 6.5. I'd also invest in a bottle of PH Up and PH Down, which is often found in Wal-Mart (and like stores) pet section among the fish supplies. I bought mine in a pet supply store, cost me a bit less that way. I also use a dropper bottle for applying Up & Down when needed, and use no more than 20 drops at a time (to big of a PH change too quick can be just as devastating as bad PH, in my experiance)

And considering the age, and appearance of the cotelydons, I'd start the kiddo out on a 1/4 strength fert (I use Miracle Grow food for tomatoes, works wonders for me) I'd advise against anything stronger than 1/2 strength for a few more weeks, at least. Feed it, wait a week, see how it looks. If it truely looks like it needs it, every week and a half feeding would suffice, but I never feed more often than that, and prefer to keep it every 2 weeks to give it time to utilize everything in the soil to avoid nute concentration in the soil. I also put a drop of SuperThrive in the water every feeding, I've always had thick stems & bushy growth with it. Otherwise, without it, my plants end up a bit....spindley.

Also, what kind of soil are you using? It looks awfully woody. Mary Jane doesn't like woody soils, she prefers softer, airier soils---soils that can retain the moisture it needs, but drain the excess water that isn't needed quickly.
I have a kid's beach sand sifter, and sift out everything from my soils when they're babies being planted. I mix in a ratio 1/3 perlite to 2/3 soil.
