breeding with feminized genetics

High stoners,

Since i started smoking I'm very interested in all the different strains, their different effects and taste. So thinking about my own crossed strain was logical. After years of research I've found my two strains i want to cross. The first one is the durban Poison of Cannabiogen because of the uplifting, happy and creative high. And the second one is the Malawi from ace seeds because of its destroying deep psychedelic effect that lasts forever. And here starts the problem:

Ace seeds doesn't have the Malawi in stock anymore. I mean the regular seeds, they still have the feminized ones. And especially they still have the breeders Pack with the Killer Malawi Pheno in it what would be a f****** dream for my cross. But also the breeders Pack is only in the feminized version available.

So my question is, is it possible to do my cross with the feminzed version of the malawi? I mean crossing a Malawi female and a durban male would be no problem. But is that adviseable? Will it work and if the answer is yes, is there a differnce to a cross of two regular seed-strains?

Maybe I also should say that i want to stabilize the genetics of the strain and produce some seeds of it.

I would be very thankfull for helping answers because the breeder's Pack costs 200€ and if I would buy it and it would not work........ that would be a shame :wallbash:

If you want the killer malawi, get the breeders pack. It's probably more stabilized lines put together. But you can still get the normal fem seed pack and select the best females for your liking. May be some killer in there too as it's one of the parents in the latest malawi fem line. For more details on malawi releases search in the ace forum section.

Otherwise it would be a great cross, Malawi x Durban. Further stabilisation will depend on your selections, there will probably be quite some keeper phenos and tough choices:)

Good luck

I am growing some Bubba's Gift x Black Widow, the Bubba's Gift was a feminized plant.

At 6 weeks flower there is no sign of any hermies.

Probably good to flower the feminized plant you are intending to use to see how it ends up before using it in a cross.

It'll work fine. If you want to watch a good greenhouse grow with crosses made with fem New Malawi Killer seeds than check out Baked Beanz grow. I just popped a bunch of his seeds to test:
Malawi X Orange Glue
Malawi X Black Lime Reserve #7
I had a bunch of smoke of a cross: Old Malawi Killer X Black Lime Reserve #1 and it was the BEST smoke I ever had. That mule kick, narcotic, long lasting Malawi buzz. I have 2 of them at 9 weeks in bloom now:biggrin:

Totally, esp with ACE. I have been doing Zamaldelica males with a Orient express fem'd lady . I have ordered some other fems for that purpose; malawi/pck etc... I have found ACE fem seeds to be really stable - no hermies etc. So very good to breed with.
I was really weary of running fem seeds as I pretty much got 100% hermie nonsense with other breeders but I believe ACE wouldn't bother releasing if they had those kind of issues en masse.
But I agree with the previous post - grab some clones and flower them out to make sure. Fun making your own styles - ace make it easy and you feel like a breeding legend with their strains! haha

You can also wait until November. Malawi and golden tiger reg seeds will be in stock in a few days plus others. I was thinking of doing Malawi f2 regular and crossed to female malawi in order to increase my chances of finding killer phenos since the fems are a cross of the two killer Malawis old and new killer.

there not much variation in the killer malawi fems , all yield was similar in like 20 of them, what i did notice though .... some have a very heavy terp profile , and they are little harder to find . 2 out of the 20 were of the charts stank vomit x dead animal . my opinion would be seed whatever you have go through the seeded females individually when your done and do smell, poke & toke test .

everything else has been said , there fine too use and dubi also recommended using them . they are extremely stable ,

^^^Whut he said^^^

Fem seeds are just fine so long as they prove their worth.

You'll know how more after you start popping those seeds you make.
