Breeding to acclimate strain to region

After reading, and reading a LOT of this great forum i decided to aks you guys for advice.
I'm looking for a "superior strain" to grow outdoor. My main reason is commercial side, and some testing :). I read when growing a strain not native to your region you can breed it to better acclimate to it's environment. So that the next generation will grow more vigorous and yield more. I am in the 46 latitude and am wondering if anyone has a opinion on what to do. Also would sativa dominate phenol be better suited for my location?

Thanks for answers!

Ok first.. Everyone is looking for the 'superior" strain.. Yes you can breed it in your climate and those seeds will grow better.. But if your starting with an f1 your acclimated strain at best will be f2 which shows more phenotypes and is harder to try to find something close to the f1 (hard not impossible). So maybe start with something that is stable? stay away from poly-hybrids till you get better at it and identifying the traits you want.. Try something that has been worked for years and is stable to start with would be best bet.. And stay within the 60/40 NLDT/WLDT

sativa92 60/40 NLDT/WLDT is 60% indica, 40% sativa? Sorry if I'm wrong, don't know what that mean.

It's the other way around.
NLD is narrow leaf drug, so sativa and WLD is wide leaf, so indica.

I'd start with a mixed population of 3 or more stable strains with desired traits and make some selection in next few seasons to stabilise the hybrid with most desirable traits.
Hopefully it would turn out better than the starting strains.

But I don't speak from experience so take this post with a grain of salt:)
