Breeding project (2022)

Hey everyone. Just wanted to start a thread and document a seed making and breeding project. Excited to share with you guys.

It's a project I'm doing with a good friend. We're both gonna be working on many different lines. Some are just being created and others are pretty heavily worked.

For the sake of this thread, I'll just be documenting some of my own lines that I've made recently as well as a few projects I'm working on that are being developed from seed stock I've acquired here and there.

Here's some of what I'll be working with. All the GrapeCreamCake hybrids I made this past fall. Everything else is from respected seed makers other than myself;

[GhostOG/SkyJarro x GhostOG x Double og sour] x GrapeCreamCake (freeborn selections, rebel grown)

BlackLimeReserve/ Ancient OG x Ancient OG (motherlode)

[BlackLimeReserve/Ancient OG x Ancient OG] GrapeCreamCake (motherlode)

AnimalCookie/Chem4bx x Ancient OG (motherlode)

Cherry limeade/Royal Kush x GrapeCreamCake (freeborn selections, emerald mountain legacy)

Triangle Kush x Chem D (csi Humboldt)

Gmo/rootbeer x headband (skunktek, freeborn selections)

Plus a handful of other things from my friend and some clone only varieties as well.

I'll take some pictures of the space tomorrow and hopefully be getting everything in their final homes in the next few days. Feels good to be posting on the site again. OK see you around.

Hey guys thanks for the kind words and thoughts. Nice to see you all. I'm worried about Schrews right now, there's a big fire near him that's getting worse. I pray him and his family are ok.

I've got some fresh pics. A little before and after. So far so good. Going to map out my ideas and goals for each tent I use. I have tentatively decided on doing 4 hoops, so 4 lines of which to find and use males. I'll be filling each hoop i use with the same females from various seed lines as described above, plus a handful of other things. So 4 males, with about ten diff lines to pollinate would make around 40 different crosses. Not bad. I'll check back in with closeups once plants are in their determined areas.

What's up? I've been deliberating on which males to use, and after some thought I have come up with my choices;

-Direwolf (animal cookie/chem4bx3 x Ancient OG) from South Fork Seeds

-SuperSilverHashplant (ssh x 88g13hp) from Bodhi seeds

-BlackDog x Gelato33/CherryLimeaid from Freeborn Selections

-Stardawg/Sunshine4 x GrapeCreamCakef1 from Mountain Top Seeds (me )

The goal for most my crosses will be outdoor performance, size, vigor, and flower quality. I feel like all these males fit those characteristics and bring a lot to the table. Some lines will be made this year simply for fun as well.

Each variety of males will get it's own tent, with each tent having at least 1 of each of these varieties in female form;

-Cherry Fritter (clone)

-Ssh x 88g13hp

-JackHerer x 88g13hp

-Direwolf

-Domepiece

-Tk x Chem d

-Purple Sprite

-Purple Sprite x Grapecreamcake

-Pink Champagne x Pinã

-Blueberry x Blueberry Syrup

The lineup you have sounds amazing! Just curious, what is the lineage of your Grape Cream Cake? I just picked up a pack of seeds from Bloom Seed Co of Grape Cream Cake. I had the pleasure of being able to smoke it before and it is incredibly grapey!! Names are just names nowadays anyways, and even if they aren't the same genetics I'm sure you found yourself a nice representation of the grape candy terp. Just curious what genetics you used to get you to that point!

I made a dozen or so crosses last year using the grapecreamcake from bloom seed co. I used the f1 generation

That's so sick, I got those and the 24 pack of the F2s. I'd like to find a male and make some seeds to what kind of seed stock it would give. Pretty sure that'd be an IX (incross) right? Either way it should bring the grandparents traits to some of the seed stock which would be cool to play around with. I've also seen she's a great yielder for water hash too, wonder if any of your crosses will bring that with them...
