Breeding for drought and crappy soil...

These landscapes captivated me; I saw the strength of nature, its ability to cope with difficulties. Despite the lack of water, plants, animals, and people have thrived here. Olive trees have been cultivated here for at least 2,500 years, in this seemingly inhospitable territory. What is striking is the diversity of species; it is simply incredible. When spring arrives, plants that were previously invisible appear, surviving in the form of bulbs or seeds, and a rain is enough to make them emerge. Many places in the world are in the grip of desertification, and I believe it is important that we adapt our lifestyles and farming methods to this challenge. Man is constantly trying to bend nature to his desires; it reminds me of Don Quixote. I don't want to play at that, so patiently, I try to follow what nature and the seasons dictate. It's a lot of failures, a little success, but a lot of fun. I hope one day to leave my son a farm that works in harmony with our environment, and that brings happiness and satisfaction...
No. I dont think so.
