Breeders and seedbanks to avoid

Does this already exist here at icmag? If so can someone point me in that direction? If not maybe we should start one.

Who have you been ripped off by? What breeders and seedbanks should we all avoid?

My advice is :

1. Stick with reliable seedsbanks.
2. Check online for reviews before spending a lot of money.
3. Don't buy more than a pack or two the 1st time to see how they deal with an order.

Cheers

The best way to get the best seeds to make friends and be the best grower you can…
😉

Thats why I keep making new seeds for myself lol
But you know when you see something youve had on your list to aquire for years...you take the plunge. For better or worse

I haven't been ripped off yet. Lousy seeds, outta stock, maybe, but they have always showed up.

Let me knock my wooden Gypsy grinder on my wooden head now...

And what Mr. Flower said. I am gonna dedicate a tent to running the Hazes that have come my way. The next three runs are already booked.

I still try to fit the nld in with the bld and everything in between lol
I have another tent but I don't have the available power at the moment, just using it for mycology and as a drying tent so the whole neighborhood doesn't smell.

I had to hold off until the electrical dude could come in and wire my set-up for the two tents. We added several breakers and dedicated circuits. I need to add more to handle the huey /dehuey load for the lung room and drying closet.

As for compatibility between different plants, total crapshoot. I am thinking monocrop in that Sativa tent. Maybe mono-plant! I am learning a lot on this first Sativa run. The hybrids are tame by comparison.

There are some rip-offs out there that don't last too long but they are there. There's an outfit on the internet that you can look up and see if they are cool or not. I can't say the name on ICMag but it's an EU outfit that keeps logs and records on all seed breeders. As of right now, they have data on 24,130 cannabis varieties and 1292 Breeders. Every shop they have listed has a point system for their loyalty to customers and a few ripoffs. Look up Seed in EU and you may find them.😎

one of the main ripoffs with banks ive found are the single seed sellers, a few places have sent me singles that were not what they were supposed to be.

another thing to be wary of is banks that have stuff in stock that is out everywhere else.

The only really sh*t place I recall was a seller / bank based in spain. They took my money and did a runner. A pretty tough blow!
I can´t remember the name of the website and all the info was lost when my notebook went bust (along with ALL the stuff I had saved from CW and the cabana at the time).
As a result I avoid sellers in spain like the plague. Which is unfortunate in a way. After all they probably are not all mean thieving crooks.

I used to love buying from OaSeeds in Spain. That went sour because of the guv cracking down I believe.

Get to know people that buy Mersh, imported press brick seedy Cannabis.

Some of those seeds are Awesome.

But not an activity if you are limited on plant count. You might have to grow out 100 to get a few good ones.

Oh I know of him all too well …Would I be banned if I named him as he currently goes by?

I've been lucky, I think the worst purchase I've ever made was buying from crap king years back. Plants grew like bamboo and wouldn't flower, let alone Auto flower which is what they were supposed to be. But that was my mistake, should have done more research.
The other questionable seeds came via VSB. Never had any issues with getting them and they were honest and quick to respond when I asked specific questions but sometimes their description or breeder name wasn't totally true.
I won't buy from JOTI anymore, ive seen too many reports of instability, herms, premature seeds and seems these to just buy American Genetics to chuck his stuff to to keep relevant. He's gotten away from what he was.

:good: Be my guest, MAKE MY DAY!!!! The community needs to know! :grouphug:

There are several interesting threads on the situation (Breeder's Choice) archived in the Library forum, detailing how the scam generally works.

He even became a Mod at ICMag, briefly suckering in Moderators TheFLINTSTONERS/Three_Little_Birds and respected breeder Zamilto.

In addition to ripping off alla his customers he also ripped of fellow Breeders who sent in their seeds for him to vend.

............ and don't get me started on narc emery's old EmerySeeds, if you had a USA address and sent in cash for a large order, you were guaranteed not to get it! :pointlaug

................. never, ever had any problems with SeedsDirect, Seedbay, Seedboutique or Seedsman! :smokey:

Marc was as slimy as they come. Met him on more than one occasion and always got a vibe off him I didn't like.

The limited experiences I've had with Seedsman (Spain) have been positive. I think it's more the individual operators than any regional issue. Unless maybe it's midnight in NYC, and there's guys on the streetcorners with fake Rolexes.
