So my buddy asked me to get some help from my wonderful friends on ICMAG since I seem to do so well with the info I get here hahahah But yea he brought me some leaves to take pics of to post and see what you all think and if you can help diagnose it.

He has knats in his soilless coco mix and his bottom leaves are just turning brown and crispy outta nowhere in week 5 so he's thinking it's the knats?

So these are leaves from a friends garden where he has a knat problem and his bottom leaves are turning brown and crispy outta nowhere in week 5 of flower and he's scared he's going to lose his crop!!

the gnat larvae might be eating up his roots...

maybe he should grab up some mosquito dunks and flush it through his medium...

then maybe some silica to help the plants heal.

over watering , classic signs bottom leaves yellowing and dying .
You need to flush the cocoa with a insecticide soap or dish soap and neem .
give them time and they should recover

look kinda over feed also

gnats wont do that, gnats only eat root material , but I have never heard of someone losing a plant to gnats. but you should learn to control gnats if possible as, well, they eat roots

top dressing : sand / perlite / DE ...
traps: cup of water / sticky paper
biological: gnatrol / mosquito dunks / nematodes

looks like P to me, also its not overwatering, you cant overwater in coco

I'd do something about the gnats. They could be doing enough damage to the the roots to be stressing the ladies into dropping their leaves.

At Week 5 though, I wouldn't stress too hard about things. Losing a few fans at this point just means he has a head start on his flush.

hahaha ^^^^ fa sho! I know that's what I love about coco the most is you can't over water it at all from my experience. Right now I water 2-3 times a day and when I ran soil in my same setup I watered every other day but now my plants are twice as healthy and twice as big!

Thanks for the help I will pass it on to him tonight anything else would be helpful and I'll see if he had anything he can add to maybe give you guys more to go with? Thanks again and Happy Growing!!!!
