Hello good people I hope some one can help.

I have had a great year growing every thing was going great, I recently got some clones from a so called friend.

Now I run perpetual harvest and I have three rooms, seed room (grow tent)

Veg room (Grow drobe)

Flowering room

Now I got LSF from these clones and I struggled to fight it, but trichoderma and some other bascterial inoculant seem to have won that fight.

Now as the title suggests I noticed mites, I got hold of some SB plant invigorator (I live in the UK)

It seems to have worked and I treated my veg plants with this stuff (Which I can not get hold of any where)

Now getting rid of the mites from my veg rooms should not be a problem, but the part which hurts is that these bastards are now in the flower room, don't get me wrong its only a few not a bad infestation, and I want to stop it now.

Problem is how can I treat a flowering plant, how can I get rid of these from all three rooms without taking it all down.

So is it possible to get rid of these critters

I do hope theres an answer to this question

Many thanks

Not an expert on this and not sure what pests you have, but the one time I got infested I used a thing called torque, I used it when plants were 5 weeks into flower and it was a succesful termination and no harm done to plants.

ps mites were spidermites.

general rule of thumb.... not to spray anything on flowers once you're past the forming of buds...at least in my eyes... once they cluster up and are kicking out mad pistils I don't like to spray, some will say they do, preference....

I'm not sure what if anything you can do at this point....

I'm sure someone will pop in here with some other ideas

Bubbler guy here & I see no downsides to this method at all personally

Bubblers have to be the easiest, no-brainer hydro method there is

Mix your nutes, adjust ph, add plants...for the next 7-9 days simply add back water to your res or bucket to the proper level as needed...Change nutes after 7-9 days...1 week before plant is done simply flush with water for about 1 week

So simple even a soil grower could do it

EASY GUYS...Just foolin around :muahaha:

No way, man. As long as there is something for a bug to eat, ie green leafy objects, you stand a good chance of getting a borg at some time or another. Just wait. If you've been doing this long enough, you'll get it. I hope you don't, but you will. So it's good business to learn prevention, mitigation, control, eradication, etc...

Big Shade- Sorry to hear about your dilemma. Eradication of pests on a perpetual is probably the hardest thing to do. Like Berry said, predators are definitely your safest bet with regards to not damaging your crop or your health. You can use sprays during the bloom cycle, but again like Berry said, once your girls start packing on the weight, you're skirting a very thin line. You can get away with pyrethrins because the concentrations used are not toxic to humans/pets, but I wouldn't use anything during the last 4 weeks, especially if humidity is a concern (mold=BAD).

We don't know the particulars of your perpetual setup. If you can let a run finnish up and delay introducing your next run, you might be able to work something out. Give us some specifics on how you run your grow and maybe some more folks can chime in. There are options like special potions and whatnot, but we need more info. And the potions usually are NOT eradicators, just infestation management.

Good luck!!, and give us some more details on your setup and turnaround cycle, etc

when I ran only waterfarms in a sterile like closet I had a few little knats from somewhere so thats not really 100% true.
Leave it to me,I can screw up anything LOL!

Soil = BUGS

Hydro = NO BUGS

having grown in Waterfarms, Dutch buckets, Emilys, DWC, Soil indoor, Soil outdoor, i can pretty much say this statement is FALSE.
please ignore this any noobie out there.

Shitake is spot on. "As long as there is something for a bug to eat, ie green leafy objects, you stand a good chance of getting a borg at some time or another"

prevention is key to winning this battle easily.
waiting til its a problem, and then trying to erradicate is the hardest (on you and the plants).

Yellow sticky strips help with prevention aand personally helped me alot when i had thrips.

mites ive never experianced, so i cant help you on that one.

good info is coming... just ignore the "HYDRO = no bugs thing"

Weird

Been growing for quite a while and haven't had a single bug of any kind in my closet or cabinet (old setup)...NONE...PERIOD...Not even a spider (that I've seen)

IMO soil attracts insects...Don't know if its the smell, moisture, or content or what but it sure seems to...When going hydro, I think the nutes being suspended in the H2O does not attract insects the way soil does...The nute solution must have more of a chemical scent or something that simply does not appear yummy to the little bastards

Bugs are another reason I've refused some clones over the past year...Ive read numerous post here and elsewhere where peeps have been infested after receiving cuts from other peeps

Now I'm not starting a fight here...I'm basing my opinions on personal experience...And in my personal experience I have had NO BUGS of any kind

Just because I only have 70 posts or so, don't assume I'm a newb

A dilute neem, non-toxic soap and water mixture may get rid of them. You shouldn't have any problems with toxicity as long as you don't go pouring straight neem oil on your buds haha. Good luck!

i wasnt calling you a noob Remus, but that statement is nothing short of a lie.

you have been lucky to never had 1 bug of any sort in your room.
i would say this is due to cleaniness, and possibly you already using preventitive measures.. not just coz you are running hydro.

go to the infirmary. im sure you will see all growers have problems with bugs of some sort.

peace!

No I don't use any preventive measures...In fact my 4" passive intakes (I have 3) are wide open...No screens or nothing

I do keep the closet fairly clean, but DO NOT use any cleaners or anything...Just a simple wipe down with water

Like I said not starting a fight, just voicing my opinion

Grow on peeps :headbange
